“Front desk was rude. Breakfast was small and crappy. Outdated. Wouldn’t stay here again.”

“This was an unusually poor hotel. It started with the front desk staff that couldn't have been more unwelcoming. We aren't particular about having room service clean the room, but the desk said they would. They didn't. Different desk staff said they would after three nights. They didn't. Finally, after four nights they cleaned the room. On each of the previous nights, I would have to talk to the unwelcoming front desk and respectfully ask for fresh towels and more coffee. “Our first room was filthy, dirt and something wet by the phone, the phone was also very dirty as were the windows in the inside. There was dirt inside the frig and the outlet by the bed did not work nor did the tv. We got moved to a new room and I showed the employee the dirty napkin I used to wipe the filth off by the phone, she didn't really say anything. The next room was cleaner. Bed's were kind of hard. We did not have the breakfast because I was afraid if the rooms and building were that……

“Beautiful antique decor and spacious room. Rom could have used one more lamp behind the couch and the overhead light on a dinner would have been nice. Not knowing there were no windows in the unit would have been helpful, that was a bit of a shock. Overall a good experience, would go back but not stay in the Lake Riply Room 102.”

“The Toilets were way to LOW for us to use comfortably! And we are 72 years old. Anyone who has a bad back or joint problems will definitely have problems getting down to the seat and real problems getting back up! We never thought we would have to check the size of the toilets before we book our rooms but I will do so now!”

“The front desk staff were AMAZING. However, I was there for 8 nights. Three times I had to take dirty towels to the front desk to request clean ones. Our room was actually "cleaned" two times. One of those times they left the dirty towels in the room. Everyday I asked the front desk staff to address this and I truly believe they did their best. However whoever is in charge of the cleaning staff needs to be made aware of these issues.”

“I would rate this hotel a 3 out of 5 stars. It was an affordable option, but unfortunately housekeeping did not seem to keep up with the property. The cleaning appeared very basic, and the building is clearly showing signs of wear and tear over time. We stayed for a week and barely saw any other guests during our stay. I was disappointed to notice dirt and dust building up around the headboards, chairs, and bench seating in our room. There were also small spots of mold visible on the ceiling,……

“The room was clean & comfortable. The stairs & porch needed cleaning. The room had no cup/glass for teeth brushing. Also it’s is above a coffee shop, but they don’t open on Saturday till 8 & 7 on weekdays, and there’s no in room coffee. I really needed morning coffee, but didn’t get it.”

“One of the main reasons I reserved a room here is because of the pool. When the pool is closed it should be noted before you make a reservation. The grandkids were not happy, also the bathroom needs work.”
