"Real comfy place to stay. Full kitchens with all the utensils and cups and pans, so you can bring your own food and cook. Log burning fireplace for a real fire in the cabins. Grounds needed to be cleaned up, but I guess the resort just reopened to the public after housing ski resort employees. Those employees need to clean better, the gal the runs the place was completely overwhelmed and I felt sorry for her. "

"We couldn't have been happier with our decision to stay at Marilyn's beautiful cabin in Tavern Bay! The 3 bedrooms, all with comfortable Queen beds, allowed each of our 3 couples the privacy when they needed it. "We loved our stay in this cabin. It accommodated 4 adults and 1 baby with extra room to spare. The washer and dryer were a welcome addition as we did end up have to wash all the sheets since my son is allergic to detergent and can only use 1 specific detergent. "Our second time here. All that matters about this place is the 180 degree ocean view. Just spectacular. Of course we also love the ease of checking in, the well stocked kitchen, and San Clemente in general. Seems to us that SC is a little less touristy than beach towns north and south. Great restaurants, great vibe. We even went to the old mission at San Juan Capistrano! We will definitely rent here again."

"Overall, this day was OK. It would have been nice to have firewood upon arrival and a few extra towels. The shower curtain was also put on wrong and it did get the floor very wet so we had to use wet towels we had to dry the floor. The toilet also has issues flushing. It takes several several minutes for it to fill back up to be able to flush again."
