Great times

Posted Mar 17, 2017
We were able to skip the timeshare people all together and we're not bothered again during our trip. Figure out a way to do this and you'll be golden! Food was ok... buffet was just as good as any reservations we made. We didn't get to eat at the steakhouse though. Rooms closet to the beach had a foul smell every time we walked by. Our rooms were closet to the Black and White bar and quite pool, we loved it there. The pool by the beach is much larger and where all the entertainment happens during the day. The ocean is not worth swimming in, it's not clear and there is seaweed everywhere. Walk about 5-10 minutes North (left) down the beach to the lagoon, there you will find clear beautiful water.

Short staffed

Posted Mar 10, 2017
Pros: Our room was very clean.
Cons: Needs alot of TLC
Location: We went into town a couple times to do some shopping. We have done Cozumel, Tuluem, Xcaret befoer and they are all fun.
The staff was very pleasant. We were invited to a Welcome Breakfast for VIP's, told them didn't want a Timeshare talk, we were assured it was nothing to do with that. The VIP Breakfast was in the middle of everyone else at the buffet. It was a high pressured talk about buying into their resort, so timeshare talk with some words changed. That's how the vacation started. The shuttle every 10 minutes to take you down to the beach (which is easily a 15-20 minute walk) was not every 10 minutes. Every building was suppose to have a concierge so you could make your dinner reservations etc., they only had 2, 1 in building 6 and the other up in the lobby, so we missed out on eating in a couple of the restaurants because they were all booked. beach was horrible, couldn't go into the water, full of seaweed, no snorkeling or anything, so to go to the pool you had to go down around 7am and place a towel or something on a chair in order to get one. It also said they had a catamaran ride every morning at 10:30, we never found it, nobody could answer our question. also the shows at night would have been good, if the announcer would translate in english so everyone could understand. We have been to 5 resorts in Mexico, and would not go back to this one. be careful walking in the pool, as the sides are crumbling and you step on rocks in the pool. I also asked to be centrally located as my husband is having ankle surgery, we were so far away, way too much walking.

Overall great experience the resort could use a bit of a face lift in areas. Over all there were lots of food options and the staff was great!

Worst vacation ever!

Posted Mar 1, 2017
This was our 12th vacation in Mexico all inclusive resorts. But it was the worst of them! Poor maintainance of common areas, bathrooms with wet slippery tiles in most bathrooms. Poor or no English in most of the staff members. Sustained terrible fall myself in one of the bathrooms in common areas. The tiles were wet and extremely slippery. Half an hour before incident I notified the security guard about poor wet condition in this bathroom! Nothing was done. I also witnesses several other people got injured in the resort. We lived in Building 8. Extremely noisy. You can hear people talking, door open and closed cleaning carts moving along hallway like it is happening at your bedside. We were not able to sleep normally for all 4 nights we stayed. Poor internet service all over the resort. Free internet is for one device only! So if you have iPad or second cell phone in your room- you will have to pay daily rate for each.

Great Time in México

Posted Feb 21, 2017
My wife and I went to celebrate my birthday in Mexico in February. The room was not to her satisfaction she called front after an hour we were given better room. The food was great but was cold at times. The waiters Santiago and Gilberto were very friendly and provide great service every time.

Stayed 7 days and found the experience overall a wonderful time. A large resort and while they have golf carts some walking is needed. However, the paths are well lit at night and the jungle feel is quite enjoyable. Pool service in February could have more staff for faster service, but very friendly. Food was tasty and they had a great variety to choose from. Close to the beach and the surroundings are absolutely beautiful. Well worth the time and money to stay here!

Great Resort

Posted Feb 18, 2017
Pros: Rooms were nice and big and clean . I had ear plug didn't hear a thing my husband said it was noise very early in the morning .
Cons: Have the carts run a little bit later than they did . Our place was a long ways from the Black And White Bar to walk home to.
Location: They have all kinds of trips you can buy and go on . right there you can play game volleyball house shoes there is sailing go into town .
When we first got there our sons friend had booked the wrong dates so our son said he would stay with us till he got there the Guy was rude and said that would be $144.00 a night to sleep on a cot for 3 nights for that much he should of had his own room . Anything we asked him he was rude about , met a guy the next day that said the guy was rude to him for the last 3 days so he was going to get it fixed . The rest of the trip was great everyone else was friendly the food was great and so was the service at the all you could eat buffets . The night eating places that you had to book to eat at could have used more waiters . Over all was great had our daughter's wedding there was wonderful , lots of fun there were about 50 of us . Would highly recommend it to anyone . Take you own sun screen cost a arm and a leg at the resort .
