Pools are great!

Posted Jan 24, 2016
Pros: the staff was helpful and friendly.
Cons: The food was NOT what was expected. We rarely found servings at the buffet medium warm and NEVER hot. The warming tables did not do their jobl
Location: Playa del Carman was fine. The hour-long side trip to the jewelry store was only necessary as the shuttle was free. 'Chicken Pizza' was wonderful!
As a first experience with all-inclusive resorts, this was a pleasant one. We enjoyed the pools, and the proximity of nearly everything. The room was clean and well-attended. The bed was not as soft as we would have liked, but we were not living there permanently.

El hotel con jardines preciosos, muy amplio

Posted Jan 22, 2016
Muy amplio, jardines hermosos, actividades de entretenimiento todo el tiempo, el personal muy amable, solo la playa no es de las mejores que podrías encontrar en estos lugares.

Great place, but the beach is not so nice

Posted Jan 22, 2016
Pros: Its really beautiful, really big and they have transportation that takes you around the resort. Which was great for us since we brought our 2 year old
Location: Tulum is beautiful and the Cenotes are great! We did a zip-lining tour that was wonderful!
Awesome food, great service, over all really good experience. I wasn't as pleased with the beach, the water is just not very clean. I guess its been like that for years in that area, Cancun is much cleaner! But the pool is amazing and the activities were really great. Only thing I didn't like was their Circle One sales pitch, they promised us buy one get one free for our massages if we went to listen to the sales people and after spending a couple hours with the sales guy (who was really good at his job and almost had us) and deciding not to go with the program we thought we were all set. Once we booked our massages we find out that they weren't going to honor it. Never really got a good reason as to why.... After talking to other guests that seemed to be a trend. SO don't get sucked in!

Needs a major renovation

Posted Jan 6, 2016
We switched rooms three times during a 4 night stay! The rooms are dirty and in terrible condition! Mold everywhere in the bathroom, shower and window curtains had gross stains, dust everywhere! The floors are cracked and weird smells surface from random places. The food was terrible! No variety whatsoever! Room service is limited to four items! Employees are overworked therefore the service sucks! The front desk staff gives you nothing but attitude. The beach is beautiful and the resort is close to playa del carmen and 5th avenue. They also have wild monkeys and other wild animals running on the grounds which is fun to see! This hotel needs a major renovation and more staff!! We travel twice a year to Mexico resorts, please consider other options before booking this hotel!!!

Not Worth the Price

Posted Jan 1, 2016
This was not my 1st trip to the area but was my 1st time at this resort. Late me say 1st the only saing grace for this place is the food. We enjoyed our meals. The room was another story. We had to call multiple times for the toilet as well as the power in our room went out twice due to a loose socket that blew the breaker.

Red ants

Posted Nov 24, 2015
Red ants going around my room and I got bitten by something (maybe these ants) in my arm and still have an inflammation. Sime of the hotel employees were not friendly, specially one called Alonso, at the buffet restaurant.

Nice resort with slow service and eroded beach

Posted Nov 23, 2015
Wait times for front desk, bar service, and drink service at buffets were unacceptable. Drink quality was inconsistent, but always slow (often more than a 5 min wait). Dinner at restaurants (reservation required) was very good with great service. Hotel room was great Pools are set up well and don't feel overcrowded. Beach is badly eroded, but lounge area is nice. Guests can walk pretty far South along the beach, if desired. Staff were friendly and eager to help. Several buildings are a 10+ minute walk to the beach. Shuttle is not frequent enough so we never used it. Nightly entertainment was subpar. Carnival was OK, but the Grease show was a waste of time.
