HOTEL VERY NICE. EVERYONE SO HELPFUL.

Pros: EVERYTHING
Cons: ALL ROOMS FACE BEACH.
Location: EVERYTHING CLOSE BY. RESTRANTS, SHOPPING.
WE ENJOYED THE SHOWS THE FOOD. THE BEACH AND POOL VERY RELAXING. COULD'NT ASK FOR MORE.

Beachfront hotel in Downtown Playa

Upon arrival we were impressed with the grandeur of the lobby and the view of the Caribbean, beach & pool beyond. We were more impressed with friendliness and professionalism of the resort staff though. Our room was open, airy & spotless with nice linens and a balcony with an endless water view. We were there to relax so each day we lounged about the resort or took a stroll exploring downtown. The food was excellent & I'd encourage you to try everything there; the local food was marvelous. Don't miss the nightly entertainment either because the shows are fantastic. Wonderfully relaxing stay and the staff made sure we had all we needed. Special thanks to Filipe, Aurelio, Hector & Israel for always taking time to make us feel welcome no matter how busy they were. A truly amazing place to stay.

our stay at gran porto

Pros: Loved the location, 5 min walk to all the shops on 5th ave. All staff were very friendly. The room was an oceanfront with balcony and hammock!
Cons: the ocean!
Location: great location walked across the street to the royal hotel also, the Asian restaurant was delicious
I was very hesitant to book this trip after reading previous reviews, I am so happy I ignored the other negative reviews!! The Hotel was beautiful, the staff very attentive, the food was excellent. The pools were great, the activity directors were very entertaining!!. There was entertainment every night! The 3rd floor pool was awesome with a sushi bar that was excellent. Fabian the chef is very talented made us special sushi rolls that were delicious! The only negative was the ocean directly in front of hotel,the beach was very clean and enjoyable but had to walk 5 minutes to left to enter the ocean. due to increased seaweed. This was my first all inclusive, very enjoyable. The drinks were very good, not diluted.

Nice hotel right on beach and close to 5th ave

Wonderful stay at the Gran Porto. Staff was amazing and very accomidating. Very close to 5th avenue. Nice beaches.

Awesome staff junior sweet was ok

We had a junior suite! We did not have a mini bar like the rest of the crew which had a four bottles of whatever they would like wish we had that in our junior suite but all in all it was awsome was barley in the room anyway

Great hotel with friendliest staff

I loved how friendly the staff were they became like family. The only thing I didn't like is how we had to walk to another hotel to get to the beach. I thought we'd be able to walk from the pool directly to the beach but that wasn't the case. Food was amazing, hotel was gorgeous, everything was spectacular

Excellent resort, great location

When I picked this resort, I wasn't sure if I made the right choice. But I'm glad I did choose this resort. My wife and I were extremely satisfied, excellent resort and staff.

Nice hotel in the heart of downtown

I can't say enough about this hotel. My husband and I went for our wedding anniversary and had a blast. The food and were amazing. The staff was wonderful. In particular we had a wonderful experience with the staff at Maria's restaurant. Marco was our waiter and went above and beyond our expectations. Mariana and her kitchen staff made us some authentic Mexican meals we requested that were off the menu. We can't wait to go back!

Great resort. Staff is outstanding.

Pros: The staff was the best feature of the trip as they where always helpful and willing to go the extra step to accommodate your requests.
Cons: Improve the buffet in the Albatross. The shuttles from Cancun to the resort are haphazard. This however is not under the resort control.
Location: 5th Ave was unbelievable. Have never seen a street like this anywhere. This is a resort plus. A trip on the Ferry to Cozumel is worth it.
I would definitely return. Resort is well maintained. Staff does everything to make your stay perfect. Spadas and Maries were great restaurants. Albatros was good for breakfast. IT needs to improve on keeping food warmer in the buffet the rest of the time. Entertainment at night was was good and it was unexpected.

Overall, we had a great experience. Food was decent. Make sure that you book in advance a reservation for the Italian restaurant. Service was good and will recommend to others. Good location.
