“From the very beginning, the Balsam Mountain Inn sang to me. I'd never been here before. I wanted a bed and breakfast near the Blue Ridge Parkway; and, yes, something affordable. The Inn is a HALF MILE from the Parkway, and the price was right for our mid-week getaway. Such an interesting, historic place. Between Waynesville & Sylva. So relaxing!”

“Stayed here for one night after hiking Rainbow Falls and Turtleback Falls trail. Great location close to Cashiers where we saw 4th of July fireworks. Room was comfy and clean! Excellent air conditioning! They cooked made to order eggs and bacon and had assorted muffins, bagels, breads, and fruit. Chatted with the owner Julie at breakfast-super friendly! Don’t hesitate to stay here!”

“Stayed here briefly on a trip to Asheville area. As a solo male traveler, it worked out fine, and the price was right. I'd be less likely recommend it for a solo female or for families. The room was clean enough at first glance, no funky smells or obvious biohazards. I did look around with my blacklight, and I would encourage other travelers to not do that if you plan to stay here. Everything worked in the room. The vending machines up by the front office, not so much. There's the usual……

“The rooms were very clean. The kitchen was nice and the full-size fridge not too noisy. Parking was easy, although the driving directions are just odd. Breakfast was fine. There was an issue with extremely noisy neighbors that was addressed by the staff and then resolved by their relocating me. Onsite laundry was not cheap, but what is these days? All told, a fine place to stay and a good value.”

“We chose the queen suite. It was very nice and very comfortable. The bed was super comfy. Very well maintained and we loved the town of Hendersonville. The room had everything we could have needed. I would recommend, for sure!!! We will be back.”

“Great stay beautiful scenery”

“Property was well cleaned and staff was very supportive. Breakfast was good. Some area of improvement is Lift which is very old and close early. Also it will be good if items have name listed for breakfast so it will be easy for vegetarian to select. I will definitely plan to stay again if plan to go Maggie valley next time.”
