“Overall, a comfortable stay for a couple of days. The cabin was clean, the bed was comfortable (a king) and shower/bathroom very good. The kitchenette did not have a cook top (and we knew that when we reserved), but the microwave was adequate for our short stay. The setting is very pleasant, and views of the lake were a treat when we were out walking the dog. Recommend with caveats below. Shortcomings: the Wi-Fi was slow when our next-door neighbors were around; cable TV connection was spotty,……

“We absolutely loved this hotel and our stay here. it is full of history and the area is beautiful. The room were clean. And the food at the restaurant was delicious! We enjoyed our visit here”

“This was Labor Day Weekend, so the activities were all of of the property except for a Dog Day for the Humane society., with country music. Over all very quiet”

“There are several long term renters. It’s a rough crowd. The lamp by the bed was busted. Water taps switched. Evidence of recent fumigation. It felt like someone had just moved out. I’m fine with less than standard accommodations but I felt like I was likely to be part of a crime scene. My wife warned me not to come home with bedbugs. So, as quickly as I unloaded the car, I packed it back up and hit the road. If you’re on the lam from the law, this might be a fine place to hide out. I just……

“Everything was very nice, but it would have been nice to have hooks or bars to hang wet towels, or robes. Also, the curtains didn't close all the way only the sheers and it was a little bright in the morning Other than that it was a very nice stay. They did have a very nice selection for breakfast, bagels, eggs, sausage, pastries, cereal, a waffle maker etc”

“Great stay- amazing breakfast! Room was very comfortable and clean. Staff was always available, but not intrusive- which was perfect. Visited the bookstore and the yarn store in town, and both were wonderful! We plan to come again.”

“The place was perfect for its location to the lake and state park where we went hiking for 3 glorious days. Staff friendly and helpful. Only thing I would add is that they need to update the rooms and balcony. I could have used a blender in the kitchen rather than 2 coffee makers.”

“It is not a luxury resort experience. It was a motel. The room was not serviced; we had to ask for toilet paper and towels. The website shows food at the bar onsite but there is no food available onsite. We were rained out and there is nothing to do at this location if the weather is bad so we ended up checking out early.”
