"I spent one day and one night at this gorgeous place for my trip in Hakone, the stuff were friendly and helpful, they explained every details to me patiently and guid me to my room upon arrival, the room was spacious with a private pool at balcony facing the mountain, it was a shame that I didn’t reserve my dinner but the breakfast was delicious as I was served with traditional Japanese food, it’s a wonderful stay and I am looking forward to coming back. "My friend and I stayed in a private tatami room. The view of the mountains, trees, and a little bit of the town below was beautiful. The room was clean and quiet. The futon were a little thin (I have slept on many as I live in Japan), and both my friend and I had poor sleep because of it. The downstairs common areas are also very clean and beautifully decorated. The staff were friendly and explained the space clearly. In the onsen, there wasn't a clear or large enough sign that you need to clean yourself before entering the bath. Unfortunately, this meant that guests who were unfamiliar with the custom entered the bath unwashed. The bath water was quite dirty. This could easily be fixed with a few large signs and explanation during the tour. The shower rooms were very clean. "

"Absolutely stunning hotel. All the staff were very friendly and helpful and extremely attentive. They represent the hotel very well. We stayed in one of the rooms with a private onsen and the view of the mountains and the river below was wonderful, very peaceful. The room included in room dinner and breakfast service and this was such an amazing treat. Our guest assistant was excellent, she seemed to be so happy and enthusiastic to serve all the time. At one point, I had been playing with the coffee machine, trying to rescue a pod that didn't quite work and she noticed me doing this even while she was clearing up breakfast and came and made me a coffee completely on her own initiative. The food was so delicious and fresh and beautifully presented. In everything we felt thoroughly spoilt. It was a wonderful 2 night stay."

"What an amazing experience. After a 10 hour flight and a 3 hour train ride all I wanted was a soak in the onsen and a comfy night sleep. It delivered on that and more. It was close to the train station, easy check-in, friendly staff, and the onsen was completely empty; all to myself after all that travel. In the morning they served me a multi-course breakfast. It put American “free continental breakfast” to shame. Next time I’ll spend more than one night here. "
