“Breakfast was basic dry eggs, overcooked meats. Cereal choices, toast,english,fruit,oatmeal,etc, basic coffee. Staff is wonderful ”

“This hotel is great! friendly and helpful staff, clean and large room (the quality is particularly amazing given the low price), and it is walkable to the Ringling mueseum. The only thing I am not that satisfied is the strong smell of disinfectant in the room. Will definitely consider this place once I visit Sarasota again.”

“The first floor, under our room #13 was under renovation. Lots of noise including on Saturday April 4. The hallway in front of our room was very dirty; it had stains from food spills that could have been easily cleaned. The bathroom and kitchen in our suite were old, from the 80's or 70's. Very disappointing experience for almost $1,000 / night. ”

“The Expedia listing said “pay at property,” but I was charged through Expedia and then charged again by the hotel for the stay. On top of that, there were several hidden fees that were never clearly disclosed. The hotel charged $25 per day for parking in an almost empty lot, plus extra amenity fees for basic features that should already be included. The pools and other amenities were nothing special and did not justify the added cost. The food was overpriced for the quality, and I even found a……

“Loved our stay at the Cottages, intentional and attentive staff, quiet and semi secluded units on a busy island. Rooms were clean, fit the descriptions accurately and had everything we needed. The beach itself makes this the hidden gem. Walking up and down the rest of the beach we began to realize just how special our beach area was. Other beaches were crowded and small, but not Cedar Cove! One other note, our refrigerator was making a grinding noise, we notified management and within an hour……

As a woman traveling alone and as a mother I would stay here again. I felt safe. It was easy to uber and drive where I needed to go! Pool was clean with nice chairs to lay in the sun. The lady that checked me in - I believe the manager on duty- was very friendly and went above and beyond. As a post-op patient at the time w/ a walker and leg brace, she ensured that my room had a walk in shower without me needing to ask. She was very thorough and wanted to ensure I was comfortable. She was very kind and I witnessed the same with her interactions with……
