“On December 20, a tree fell and crushed the front of our motorhome. We needed another plan for our annual January 1 State of Our Union trip. We knew nothing about Martinez, except that John Muir had lived there. We found this place was available, lovely and had a nice fenced yard for our dog. For the age of the boat it still was in excellent condition! The view of the water is absolutely stunning!!! “The space is exactly as advertised. Bring sandals to go between the loft and the studio and to get out to the hot tub!The views from the hot tub were top notch. The studio doesn't have its own heating element and we found it a bit cold so we slept in the loft, but if you're going to need both keep that in mind. There isn't a dedicated spot to dry dishes either so know that. Overall we loved the location, the host was nice and communicated well with us. Thank you!”

The elevator was out of service during my entire visit, which made carrying luggage up and down the stairs extremely inconvenient, and the stairs were difficult to walk on. I stayed for three nights and the bedding was never changed — it was only slightly straightened, and sometimes even the trash was not taken out. The front desk staff were not friendly or welcoming. Overall, the experience was far below my expectations, and I would not stay here again."
