I grew up in the area and was back to visit, so was very familiar with where all the stores, restaurants etc were. It’s a central location to many things a short drive away. “We had a wonderful time in this property. It wildly exceeded our expectations with what seemed like endless rooms. The bedrooms were numerous and large with comfy beds and were super quiet. “This was a unique opportunity for us and something we will definitely do again! The Marina was very quiet (we stayed Sunday through Thursday). It was nice to sit outside and relax and watch the birds during the day and other wildlife (American Mink!) in the harbor at night. Very cute apartment style rooms with a gorgeous view of a forest. The shower handle was a little tricky and popped off at one point but we were able to put it back on for use.”

Water was warm 1st week of August with tan powder sandbars all over the beach. Lots of space and not too busy. The surrounding area has much poverty, while right on the edge of the marina … food at the lakeside restaurants was just ok. No fresh catch options from the lake on any of the menus…So disappointing.
