2nd trip.

Posted Feb 2, 2016
Pros: The staff was absolutely wonderful. They were always attentive, and we couldn't have asked for more from them from cleaning to room and bar service.
Cons: They need to update this section, starting with 1034
Location: Rented a jeep and drove around the island, felt perfectly safe and stopped at Coconuts and other bars. Shopping and dining at pier was great also.
Our room was awful. The bedroom was in the back of the suite, bath in the middle. Living room in the front, no TV but did have hookups, called and asked for a TV and they said they didn't have one. Balcony was the best part of the room. The couch was stained and the shower worked sometimes and sometimes the hand wand wouldn't shut off, no tub in room. This is the handicap room and I think they put people in that room so you will upgrade to their "preferred area". The time we stayed before our room was gorgeous. Make sure they don't put you in 1034. Having the bedroom at the back, was EXTREMELY noisy. Doors slamming, people hollering and talking.

Pros: Excellent facilities, Great staff.
Cons: Heated swimming pools. Water was colder than the sea.
Location: 14 km from town, lots of beach resorts in walking distance for a change of scenery.
On the beach. Dive pier for easy access to dive boats. Snorkeling in front of hotel.

Pros: The staff was overall excellent. Especially Fermin and Isabela plus Carmaxilo (I am sorry about the misspelling of his name)were awesome
Cons: Room A/C was difficult to manage. Needs updating. Quality of food offerred needs upgrading.
Overall visit was very good. My first experience with an all inclusive. Staff plus drink offerings were the best.

Nice hotel on the beach

Posted Jan 30, 2016
Hotel is a very elegant with great views and easy beach access. Dining in all restaurants was awesome. Hotel staff was top grade. Had an overall excellent 8 day stay. Things to know....only one hot tub that was luke warm if that. No courtesy shuttle offered...bring your taxi fare ($15 minimum one way taxi fare).

The hotel is very nice. The staff was helpful and friendly. Check-in and check-out went quickly and smoothly. Our room was clean. Food was very good. Alcohol drinks were pretty good. Only had 1 drink that was incorrectly made. Beach preparation each day was good. Towels were always available. I would stay here again if I came back to Cozumel.

Amazing Vacation

Posted Jan 26, 2016
We had a wonderful stay. The construction was minimal. The little bit of noise was only during the day when you shouldn't be in your room anyways. You should be at the beach or in the pool. The food was good. Carlos at the Sky Bar was our favorite bartender. He makes the best Tequila Mojitos on Cozumel Island. We had a wonderful stay and would go back tomorrow. Don't let the construction steer you away from booking this trip. Don't miss the foam party on Friday afternoon.

Stayed there for four nights in mid- January, had a junior suite in a Preferred Section. Loved it, especially the Preferred lounge and concierge services. We did 3 two-tanks dives with a Dive House, which is located just on premises. Very solid 5-star PADI shop, they were taking us to beautiful locations, including Palancar Brick with numerous swimthroughs. And shower in the room was always strong and hot, which was crucial. That was our third trip to Aura and we will be back.

Secrets needs to work on this hotel not up to the same standard as other secrets we have stayed at. The hotel is nice the layout is very strange the fun pool is in the back with no view of the beach all the pools are small in size two have swim up bars . Food is fair at best the staff tries hard we had to ask three times for a hairdryer and four for a umbrella.would not go back to this hotel

Nice all-inclusive adult only resort

Posted Jan 19, 2016
Pros: Close to the sea Lots of nice restaurants with different menus Nice staff Cleanliness
Cons: If anything a little maintenance (fix the toilet and the entrance door, caulking around the shower......)
We had a nice stay in a relax, friendly first class resort in paradise. Resort is located close to the sea and features lots of gourmet restaurants to choose from. We had excellent service from friendly staff. However our room started to show its age (toilet kept running, shower would flood the bathroom floor, entrance door mechanism would frequently jam and a couple of mornings with no hot water). No big issue items just nuisance. Front desk was informed but problems were never completely solved.
