"Good location and good value for the money"
The stay would have been excellent if I could have a room that does not face the main road. First night was very noisy and couldn't sleep more than 4h. I only got a better located room the following night, when it was great. Clean spacious room with good bathroom, up to standards. Breakfast was ok, parking included. Free wi-fi works so-so. Eventually. Good transport connections with historical city centre. Overall it was good value for the money. Marcel

"Great hotel convenient to sites"
We were impressed with the staff and the spacious room and bathroom. The common lobbies were wonderfully decorated and provided a nice place to use the wifi. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Even though the Dad did not speak English, he was very effective at communicating when we checked in. The son was very helpful and speaks excellent English. I thought the pictures on the web site were of a local church, but it was actually the ceiling of the lobby area. Very beautiful. We would definitely stay here again and thought it was an excellent value. There was no breakfast, but plenty of restaurants and markets close by. We were in a front bedroom, so the commuter traffic in the morning was a slight annoyance, but nothing significant.

"Lovely family owned hotel in stunning Tuscany"
Located in gorgeous rural surroundings, Borgo San Benedetto is a number of rural buildings turned into comfortable hotel rooms and villas with plenty of space for large families. The staff are amazingly welcoming and friendly and will help in whichever way they can. The main building hosts the breakfast area as well as some rooms. The breakfast offers a combination of local cold meats, fresh fruit and some delicious cakes and pastries! There are two separate pools with plenty of loungers to enjoy the Tuscan sun. We were there at the end of October and still were able to enjoy a dip in the pool! In terms of location, the hotel is a comfortable drive away from Florence, Pisa, Siena, Lucca but most importantly the wonderful San Gimignano which we thoroughly recommend for a beautiful medieval town with incredible shops, restaurants and icecream! Overall a very pleasurable visit and we will be coming back!

Hotel David

"Lovely boutique hotel"
I stayed at Hotel David for 3 nights at the end of a 23 day trip in Italy. What a lovely way to end a great trip. The hotel is on the east end of town, right on the fringe of a green, heavily treed residential area one block in from the Arno river. It's close to a major road for those who may be arriving by car, but not tangled up in the mess of traffic in the older part of the city where all the tourists are - and the hotel has free parking for it's guests. There are also a couple different bus stops right near the hotel that make getting in and out of the city very simple if you choose to not make the easy 1 mile walk to the Ponte Vecchio bridge, which will send you into the heart of the tourist attractions. Service is king at Hotel David - everyone is friendly, helpful and seemed to honestly enjoy their job. The breakfast area is very clean and has a nice variety of items to choose from and the free aperetivo (happy hour) in the evening is a great way to meet other travelers, or just have a nice light snack and a glass of wine. Rooms are spotlessly clean, beds are very comfortable and the bathrooms are quite large by European standards.

"Peaceful riverside hotel"
Great staff, food and location. Stayed 3 days and could happily have stayed longer. Loved being a little outside the hectic centre of Florence and the 20-25 minute walk along the river to get there. Staff were super-helpful in trying to help track down my luggage that the airlines had failed to deliver.
