"Check in was amazing! The front desk staff was very welcoming! Elevator was broken, which is not their fault. Room was the perfect size for our family! The air conditioning did not work very well and the room was pretty hot and stuffy. The kids loved the pool and hot tub. Breakfast was great! Overall a great stay! "

"I showed up at the property, there was a stack of someone's belongings outside of a window on the ground. There was a couple with 4 big dogs sitting on the ledges to go into the hotel. There was no one at the check in desk, no phone nothing looking like a real desk no one on the property to check you in. A gentleman that was staying there told me if I was checking in I needed to go to the hotel at the top of the hill and call the number listed there (a Baymont). I told him I had smelled mildew/mold and I was extremely allergic to mold/mildew and could not stay there. I drove up the hill there was a white desk area with a telephone number of 515-705-5732. I called that number 2 times with no answer. Then I called expedia to explain the situation. I gave the telephone number that was on the sign on the registration desk for her to call. She called two times with no answer and said she would keep trying to call and get hold of the manager because of the mold/mildew smell and my allergies to get a refund and I would be sent an email regarding a refund. I do not have email on my phone so when i got home on Tuesday I saw the email that they could not get hold of the manager and I would not get a refund for the 4 days I was to stay there with my daughter. I took pictures of the outside of the hotel showing the conditions and the people sitting with there dogs. I am a Wyndham rewards member for several years and I have stayed at a variety of your hotels."

"Truly a unique property worth experiencing. Plusses: architecture, room size, great bathrooms, spacious gym, staff was incredibly helpful and friendly Minuses: Breakfast was OK; a little better than a Hampton Inn. And the TV’s need to be upgraded to streaming-capable. "

"The room was very spacious. The bathroom was huge. Loved having a balcony to sit on in the morning. The neighborhood just smelled like weed. Parking was convenient but you have to pay for it."

"Very clean and modern suite room. Free full breakfast and free Mon-Wed cocktail hour with hot food. Rooms were very quiet and blackout shades were excellent. Five minutes walking distance away from downtown dining district and sports locations. Full-sized refrigerator and even had dishwasher, stovetop, cooking implements and dinner setting for four."

"A nice hotel right in the middle of where I needed to be during my stay. I parked my car and was within a 5 minute walk of everywhere I needed or wanted to be."

"George and JJ were very friendly and helpful. Great customer service. Bed was comfy. Breakfast helped start the day."

"Our group of 16 had a great stay at this spacious home. The comfortable bedrooms were easily shared, and though the house was warm during the day, it was comfortable at night. The kitchen was adequately equipped, but could benefit from additional basic items like pots, pans, and measuring cups."

"They are severly understaffed. Manager was working 12 to 16 hours a day. Didn't get towels for the first 24 hours. We had to buy towels to shower. Whoever owns this motel needs a swift kick in the ass. "

"My I wanted to come in early because of the car show. The owner of the place was very kind. Gave me upfront pricing on checking in early. The person had very clear communication part throughout the whole process. They always reached out to me within 24 hours of me sending a message to them when we got there. It was beautiful. It was very quaint and more than I expected the pictures on a line made the bed look smaller than what they actually were. There were four queen size beds and they were all very comfortable. I enjoyed the backyard and it’s six blocks three blocks down three blocks over to the state fairgrounds, which was a nice easy walk."

"Our family of four (mom, daughter, grandma, grandpa) had a wonderful 4-night stay at the Cartier apartment. The location was just right us: close to the river, the capitol building, and downtown. Having a parking space included was fantastic. Check-in was easy and communication with hosts was excellent. We appreciated having the balcony for having our morning coffee and watching fireworks on the 4th and the sunsets each evening. We recommend!v"
