Overall the resort was good. There were lots of pools, dining options, the beach was very nice, entire property was quite clean and the rooms were larger. HOWEVER, be cautious of the Holiday Club / Timeshare sales people as well as the Spa. The spa charged us for a premium package that we did not ask for and refused to make it right! Also, the Holiday Club people promised us gifts for listening then didn't follow through. They were very dishonest as well. It was very disappointing as the rest of trip was excellent!

Property is big so be prepared for LOTS of walking and steps. Site says shuttle runs constantly but plenty of times we sat waiting and eventually walked to our rooms. 3 rooms booked together but all were separated and one was on another floor. Shows in the theater were all super loud and all of them we had to leave the room because it was crazy loud. Reservations to restaurants were made and some said they were full but going in, lots of empty tables and not many people. Frustrating for those that don’t want walk in buffet for all meals. Couple of the kids woke with bites on them. Day we checked in we saw flying bugs (not quite flies and didn’t appear to be mosquitoes). Futon is not comfortable for adults but kids should be ok! It is a nice property and lots of pool, bar options. Lots of critters and animals on site- deer, monkeys, coati, lizards.

The landscape and vegetation are fabulous, as they've always been (this is my 4th or 5th time there, last time being 8 years ago). I'm not the complaining type, and my husband and I are frugal and humble. But I need to say that most of the staff did not work on the property. They were standing in groups of 3 or more and chatting/laughing while the guests filled in the blanks. For instance at any all-inclusive we went, during buffet either breakfast, lunch or dinner we were asked if we want at least water - not here! Out of 20 buffet times, I think only 2 times we got water from staff as all of them were chatting and folding napkins (or or petending to). Small coffee pots were put on tables at breakfast and you would pour yourself and when it was empty, we would get up and steal another one from another table. We are early risers and we saw every morning from our balcony the people supposed to clean the pool sit on the side of the pool with feet in water and chat, barely doing any work. There were a handful of people working hard - problably to compensate for everyone else not working - but maybe 1 in 10 staff. The athmosphere was like in a company where everyone hates their job and the company is on the brink of bankrupcy and everybody knows it. We felt like intruding and felt bad for being there and "making" employees have to pretend to work. The lounge chairs at the poor were not washed ever in the week we've been there and plastic glasses or cans were not removed at night

I had a wonderful time at this resort. From the beginning they took good care of us. Very clean and really enjoy the gardens and wild life.. they have a little of everything for everyone. Loved the shows and they have good food options..I want to give special thanks to all the employees for all their hard work they allways treated us very good with a smile..
