“Location and budget were keys to staying at this Hampton Inn in Newport, KY, versus staying immediately across the Ohio River in Cincinnati, OH. We were, as always, pleased with the complimentary breakfast offered. It was a very pleasant surprise that many nice restaurants and attractions were within easy walking distance. With the bridges over the river very pedestrian friendly, we found ourselves walking over to our destinations in Cincinnati on two occasions. Our room was clean, quiet and……

“Great place to stay! The breakfast was excellent, and we really enjoyed our stay overall. The only suggestion I have is to provide a clearer description of the sofa bed. We expected it to pull out into a traditional bed, but it did not, so that was a bit surprising. A more detailed description in the listing would help future guests know what to expect. Other than that, it was a great place to stay!”

“Very friendly staff. Room was okay. The bed and pillows are unforgiving. Two days later and still sore. One of two elevators was out, making it a 10-15 minute wait. A false fire alarm went off at midnight. Not the most restful stay, but the view of the river was gorgeous.”

“The property was fun and unique. Great location. I have had a fairly recent knee replacement and I confirmed there was an elevator. I was on third floor. The elevator did not work coming down from the third floor. It gets worse, the last day and a half I was there, the elevator did not work to the third floor at all! The steps nearly killed me. I could almost believe their reason for the elevator not working at all had it not been a fact that it only partially worked the day I checked……

“Beautiful/clean room. Parking was a bit of a hassle, garage 2 blocks away and valet was very backed up. They may need to consider, when large amounts of people are checking in the same day, to stagger check-in times rather than have everybody checking in at the same time. Roads were backed up, police were blocking off the road so you couldn’t even turn there and valet could not keep up with the amount of people. Otherwise, would highly recommend.”

“The picture when we booked the rooms were beautiful. When we arrived the bed was like sleeping on concrete. We had popcorn in our room that we didn't have. We was so upset about the stay we left at 3:30 in the morning. We had to sleep on a sofa because the bed was so bad.”
