Beautiful views and panorama of the lagoon. Sunrise here is exceptional. The water access is private and plentiful, with use of sit-upon kayaks and one SUP included. The front porch of the unit offers a picturesque view of the garden and shared spaces. Wifi is strong and communication with the host is clear. If your Spanish is limited, like mine, she has a translator on WhatsApp for English communication. Despite being just off the highway, you cannot hear the traffic. This may be because the fans and air-conditioning unit is noisy. The gates are closed at night and the property feels safe and secluded. The 2 dogs on the property are friendly.
The unit(unit 4) is kept clean but shows signs of aging.. the bathroom sink did not function. The show pressure was a trickle with limited hot water. The kitchen sink also showed signs of aging but function well. There is only a 2-burner hot plate for cooking…this works well given its age. We did not attempt to try any cooking other than eggs.
The bed was very comfortable and King-sized. The air conditioner keeps the room at a comfortable temperature and functions well.
We had a car rental and it was easy enough to get to town from here. I think it would be a long walk along a busy highway. There is a small beer stand just steps from the villa that is open late.
I believe that by bringing a realistic expectation for accommodations in a “small, remote, town in Mexico in this price range, you will be more than pleased
