"This was the first time we stayed at Cavallo Lodge and it was amazing . Staff very helpful, and informed us on all the amenities available . The room ( the commanders suite) was amazing with breath taking views of SF bay. The suite was very comfortable, clean and very spacious. They offered turn down service , which is an added comfort. The only neg was the parking, our suite had its own parking space but someone else parked there which made us park a distance from . They offer free rental electric bikes which we thoroughly enjoyed. They have a spa which I wasn’t able to enjoy due to time So many amenities. We definitely will stay here again! It was a beautiful place to celebrate our anniversary. Cavalla lodge was the original Fort Baker base and it was redone tastefully but still has the historic charm. The restaurants at the lodge were very good and reasonably priced. We so enjoyed our stay , we’ll book for longer stay next year!!"

"What a lovely place to stay!!! I booked the room last minute as I was in the area for work and had been staying in a hotel with no character and nothing to do nearby. The Hotel Sausalito provided the exact opposite experience. Beautiful room, beautiful area. Michael was an excellent host! Very accommodating. I would love to return to this hotel and this charming little city. "
