“I am very angry about this stay. When I checked in, the door and windows were left open, and the room smelled damp and moldy. The curtain had what looked like blood stains, and the bedsheet had mold spots. Since it was already late and I had a full workday the next day, I reluctantly decided to stay. “They location is set up like a very nice apartment complex. Our room was a two story suit with enough room for 6 people. This gave us enough privacy for my wife and I and daughter. The hotel is also located 20 minutes from Disney, Huntington beachs, or laguna beach. Lots of fine eating and shopping within 20 minutes too. Second time staying here. Greatly recommend.”

Lots of birds diving and soaring around the preserve, but most did not come close enough [or stay still enough] for the Fuji to do its work. Fortunately, this Turkey Vulture accommodated me with a fly-by. He was probably no more than eight feet from my face. Seriously, though, the place is a massive aviary. With all that abundant marine life bubbling about under the surface, the area can support as many of these creatures as are able to tolerate living together. And that is a surprising number, though the toleration varies in its magnitude from one minute to the next.
