“Everything was good except for 2 things : 1) we went the last week of April and the seaweed at the beach was so much 2) a dinner reservation system was horrible, we arrived on a Sunday and immediately went to guest services to book our dinners for the week. The problem is nearly all of them were booked up for the week already even though this is during off-season, which was really surprising. We were able to get in at three of the restaurants during the weekday we had but the earliest……

“Clean room beautiful ocean front views”

“The shoreline was very rocky, which made entering the water difficult. There was also a lot of seaweed, but the hotel staff diligently cleared it away, making our morning swims much more pleasant. The food was fresh and delicious, with a wide selection of fruits and vegetables. The rooms were clean, and the bed linen was fresh and clean as well. We had a wonderful time staying at the resort with our family.”

“Barcelo Maya Beach is much bigger than we had anticipated. The 4 beachfront Barcelo hotels share the common areas so we had access to many facilities. The food was good and the location is beautiful. We would definitely stay there again.”

“We always stayed at the Palace with our girls and now we as a couple love the AO!! The property is beautiful and the food/drinks are fabulous. They work all night to make sure there is no sargassum and our 9 days were spent enjoying the bluest water ever!! The rooms are spectacular and the bed is to die for. We can’t wait to be back!!”
