“We had a wonderful stay at Barceló! Everything was great, from the delicious dinners to the drinks and service at the bars. The resort was beautiful, and the staff made our experience enjoyable. The only thing to note is that the beach area in front of the resort has some rocks, so water shoes are helpful. However, if you take a short walk to the next resort, the beach is absolutely beautiful with a much smoother sandy area and perfect for enjoying the ocean. Overall, we had a great vacation……

The visitor turns from the highway, enters a long alley lined by palm trees, and arrives at the reception buildings where 0 idling, polluting cars back up. All internal transports are done with electric carritos. Once you enter the reception area, you smell fragrances and hear relaxing music. “Another great visit to HBR. The staff was once again great. There weren’t as many people in both HBR and the larger neighboring properties, but there still was a nice amount of activities and entertainment, and the people (some usuals, some new folks) were lovely and good fun. The spa staff was once again great on HBR’s Sunday afternoon spa takeover which was fun as usual. The food was good, and the restaurants on the larger property once again offered nice choices. They also had a new wine……

“AC in the room wasn’t working Outlets were coming out the wall Paying for room service at an all inclusive resort was mind blowing. It was boring pool party was not a party pool. Check in was horrible. They assigned you rooms that weren’t clean but they had some that were clean. Make it make sense. The pool bar bartenders had attitude refused to make drinks that were requested. Food was okay. Nice market plaza Steak house could have been better. Japanese food was good. Buffet lack flavor.”

“The property is right on the beach! We were unable to get in the water and use a lot of the amenities, like paddle boards, due to the sargassum (which is on every beach in the Riviera Maya). The restaurant staff were very attentive and the breakfast was good. They made us a to go meal on our last day. There is no other choice for meals in the area, so you need a car if you want to eat elsewhere. Taxis were $400-450 Mex pesos for a one way ride to the nearest village. You get 1 bottle of water……

“Las fotos no le hacen justicia al lugar, es simplemente hermoso. Nos toco un cuarto precioso frente a la piscina en el segundo piso pero la primera noche fue incómodo por que teniamos un sliding door sin cortinas y el agua tenia un olor feo. El dueño fue muy atento, nos cambio de cuarto y el resto de los dias fueron perfectos. Disfrutamos de la piscina, tenemos fotos muy lindas y estabamos cerca de todo. Lo recomiendo si busca tranquilidad.”
