We had a good time at the hotel, and overall were very satisfied with the hotel. Pros: Lost of activities for the whole family. Cons: The hotel is a little outdated and it shows in the rooms, liens and towels. The food is also very average. It is abundant, but could be better.

We had a wonderful time, staff was awesome, rooms were good, sun and pool were awesome, the buffets were OK, however, the restaurants were outstanding!
Loved the hotel. It’s clean, amazing food, friendly staff. I will be coming back!
Nice all-inclusive resort with great rates on one bedroom rooms. Lots of seaweed for the time of year (April), so something to be aware of if you prefer the beach over the pool, but no show stopper.
Great location freandly people awesome inviroment great time!!!

The Grand Residences is one of the nicest and best run resorts I have visited in Mexico. Everything is clean, staff is friendly and responsive, and there was no pressure to purchase "ownership" even though it was available. Puerto Morelos is a bit more out of the way and much quieter that Cancun ...
I’ve stayed at other great resort in Playa del Carmen. I typically don’t mind spending extra for better resorts. However, this time around I chose my resort based on the reviews I read on Expedia. I have to say that the location can’t be beat! Panama Jack has a private beach and 5th avenue is one ...
Second stay here. Loved most of it but the check in needs to be quicker as well as they need to pay attention to details. Both times I’ve been here they have not fulfilled my birthday request and you have to chase them around for such things. Not worth it. Also their mixed drinks need some work.overall ...

Our check in experience was not the best and we thought this was just the beginning of a bad experience but Expedia was quick to contact the hotel and our issues were addressed ASAP (during our stay). Issues: We got two beds instead of a king and had to wait over an hour for our luggage. This wouldn't ...

The pool is amazing and it has a decent size kids area with a couple slides which is a big plus. The restaurant were really good specially the Italian and Japanese. The staff is super nice and overall a great hotel. We are already planning to go back next year.
Nice grounds, clean rooms, good/courteous service, four Barcelo hotels next to each other, can eat buffet in all of them, but alcohol drinks only in where you are staying. Even though the grounds are huge and we were there during peak season (beginning of April), it didn't feel crowded, could always ...

We stayed here for 4 days- the pools, especially the one with the "cliff dive" was great fun for the whole family. This was our first stay in Mexico where NO ONE got sick ( have visited Mexico 15 times!!). The beach is not swimmable , but the pools make up for it. The comfort in the rooms is beyond ...
Went for a destination weeding, first time in Playa del Carmen, beautiful beach and we stay for 5 days, would do a whole week to enjoy 1 day for nearby activities. Friendly staff, excellent service, food was ok but it is always hard to have such big buffets and not to drop quality. Will like to see ...

This place was our third all inclusive in 6 years and was the best for food and drinks. The staff was friendly and helpful. The complaint I only have is there was a lot of walking between places and knew that before we booked. So if you are wanting to not move too much look into it a little more. ...

I have spent 5 wonderful days in Barcelo with my wife and daughter. The staff was very polite, good food, good facilities, clean rooms.Bathroom was clean but not impressive. We traveled with car to nearby Tulum, Achtun Chen :) and distant Chechen Itza. Beach is well equipped but it was a lot of see ...
