"This hotel is brand new, immaculate, modern design with spacious rooms and a lovely courtyard in the interior. It's a little bit off the core of downtown, but still totally walkable to everything else. It seems like overkill for the town, this very large new hotel in a large town/small "city" where there isn't much to do. But they did a lovely job with it. Highly recommend. If possible, try to avoid the laughably inflated $40/night parking charge."

"Our only negative was the noise level from rooms above. The type of flooring conducts noise more easily than carpet. I do appreciate the ability to clean these floors over carpeting though."

Lots of green space for walking, sitting on a bench or in a gazebo admiring the view. We also enjoyed some late afternoons on the front porch of this home. Nearby tennis and pickleball courts. Residential neighborhood with beautiful gardens and interesting architecture. A short walk or drive to restaurants and shops. Our host, Dan was very welcoming and has a vast knowledge of local history and culture as well as an entrepreneur. We left with a variety of his Captain Mowatt’s sauces. "

"Fantastic place to stay when visiting Portland. The location can't be beat -- within a couple of blocks to the ferry terminal and Old Town shops and restaurants. The building is next to a police station and my family and I felt very safe. The unit was immaculate, modern, and fully equipped. Onsite parking was a huge bonus, as was the friendly and helpful staff. I would, without hesitation, stay at The Docent's Collection again."

"This property is beautiful and located in the heart of downtown Portland. Stunning views of the harbor from the main living area! We didn’t have enough towels and the property manager delivered more within minutes. The sheets are high / hotel quality and the bed so super comfortable. The master bathroom is extremely small but otherwise it was a perfect stay. Literally minutes (walking) from tons of restaurants and shops and downtown Portland was an absolute VIBE! Highly recommend this penthouse suite! "

Everything was spotless and well-maintained, and the space felt welcoming from the moment we arrived.The private rooftop deck was a huge bonus — a perfect place to unwind and enjoy the view after a day out. We also really appreciated the host allowing us to check in early, which made a big difference given our early travel schedule that day.Another small but very helpful feature: there’s a loading zone right in front of the building, which made unloading our suitcases super convenient.All in all, this was one of the best Vrbo stays we’ve had, and we’d absolutely return next time we’re in Portland."

"We had a great stay in the 2 bedroom unit. great set up and was super clean. Loved the proximity to the shopping area and restaurants. Only issue was the front door lock, noticed a lot of the other people were leaving the lock open. Would stay here again "
