It was convenient to walk to Waverley station, the tram and bus stops, New Town, and Old Town. The staff was so helpful and kind to keep our luggage before check in and following check out. "I stayed two nights in the double wee room. It is not that wee after all - surprisingly generous with the space, in fact, with a large double bed (composed of two half-mattresses). The hotel defines the center (one sees the Burns monument in front) and is quite pretty in an old-school, Britannia kind of way (with Scottish green tones as the main color). Extremely quiet (non-view room), all amenities working as intended (tea / coffee / choco maker in room; tv, old-school phone; iron & board etc.). Perhaps a wider partition in the shower would ensure less spillage. Shower with movable head (good pressure & temp controls). Breakfast is prettily presented with basic options: full English, sandwich, fruit and some interesting health-juices. Decent hours (to 10/10:30 am). Otherwise restaurant with a 20% discount coupon found in your room. Staff friendly and efficient. Rooms cleaned daily, without having to ask. I will definitely return."

"This was our first time in Edinburgh and our first European trip. The hotel is wonderful! Everyone was very pleasant upon our arrival. The cozy room was in fact cozy. The room was well stocked with everything you would need. Hairdryer with attachments, clothing steamer Nespresso machine tea kettle. The air conditioning worked great. The room was quiet and dark at night. The bed was very comfortable. If coming from the United States remember that in Europe hotel rooms are not as large as we are used to. This is the perfect size. You’re in the middle of it all. Everything is within walking distance. The tram stop is right up the road on Princes street. Maybe a 8 minute walk. Waverly station is across the street. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Edinburgh."
