“Only giving two stars because of the staff member who was there when we arrived and the quality of the breakfast. Otherwise, terrible experience. The staff member who checked us in was very helpful, especially when the first set of keys didn't work and again when I had to ask for extra towels (only two bath towels in a two bedroom suite booked for a family of 5). The room was gross — we found a pair of men's boxer shorts in the bathroom, secondary sink in the second suite room was not cleaned.……

“When we arrived we could immediately tell this hotel was not clean. We got up to our room and there was poop in the toilet and when flushed, it started overflowing. When we went down to tell them, we received no apology. We were just told someone would come up to fix it. We asked for a refund so we could go elsewhere and the assistant manager said he did not have authorization and that the general manager would have to process the refund the next day. We received no update the following day.……

“We have been staying at this hotel at least twice a year for 8 years. The staff are always welcoming, kind and helpful. My complaint is that new ownership (we were told this by staff) has taken over and the cost of the rooms went up significantly. The cost has outpaced the return and sadly — we will find another place to stay in the future. This is not a reflection on the staff — they are and have always been great.”
