"Helpful staff and kind, but not anticipating your needs in a way that would exemplify excellent resort service. Some conflicting information when questions were asked related to dietary restrictions with dining - concierge gave different/unclear answers than the food & beverage director who ultimately had the correct information. The property does have halal chicken supplied throughout the resort which was a huge deciding factor for us choosing this resort/line. The kitchens will even cook food on separate surfaces to avoid contamination; however, the waiters and resort staff+concierge were not educated on this, and it must be coordinated through the F&B director at the beginning of your stay or prior to your stay (through hone or email - highly recommend getting commitments in writing). Cannot be marketed as halal resort due to mixed meats, but the chicken sourced is halal certified and certification can be provided upon request. this information is relevant as of our stay in April 2026 in case they change providers in future - always good to check prior to your stay. Resort layout 10/10 - isolated areas for whatever experience you're looking for (party vs. family or both!) - kids club was a great experience for our 3 year old. Many kids clubs in cancun resorts start at age four so having a 3.5 year old, the min. age being 3 here was a deciding factor for us. Activities daily that we enjoyed participating in. Overall plan to return in future!!"

"The Good:The resort and rooms are absolutely stunning with a true 5-star aesthetic. The property is visually beautiful and well-maintained. The Not-So-Good: Kid-Friendliness: A huge miss for parents. Pool service (food/drinks) doesn’t start until 11:00 AM. We were there by 9:00 AM, and by the time food arrived, the kids were hangry. Even towels and water are DIY until 11:00 AM. Dining: Food quality was "meh" at best. On the all-inclusive plan, drinks were watered down, though tipping generously helped. Arrival Logistics: Check-in was slow and frustrating; staff seemed indifferent to restless kids after a long flight. Transfers: The paid "private" airport transfer was disappointing. It functioned like a shuttle rather than an assigned driver, leading to more unnecessary waiting. Verdict: Beautiful resort, but the service logistics and rigid hours made it difficult for families with young children"

"Lo mejor fue haber decidido celebrar mi cumpleaños en este lugar junto a mi pareja. Sin embargo, lo NO TAN BUENO es que no se brinda información clara desde el inicio: ninguno de los restaurantes especiales tenía disponibilidad ni opciones de reserva. Considero que esto debería informarse al momento de confirmar la estadía. En nuestro caso, habíamos reservado con más de dos semanas de anticipación, lo que nos habría permitido gestionar estas reservas sin inconvenientes. Como resultado, nos vimos obligados a “celebrar” durante los tres días en los restaurantes regulares, como cualquier otro huésped, lo cual fue bastante decepcionante considerando la ocasión especial. Quisiera destacar positivamente al joven que atendía en la playa: sumamente servicial, amable y siempre con una gran sonrisa. Asimismo, la persona encargada de la habitación fue excelente, muy atenta y eficiente en todo momento. Entre los aspectos a mejorar, el servicio de WIFI, ya que no está disponible en todas las áreas del hotel. Adicionalmente, contratamos el servicio de jet ski. Un bote nos trasladó al hotel contiguo, donde se realizaba la actividad. No obstante, una vez finalizado el tiempo de uso, tuvimos que esperar aproximadamente 45 minutos para que la embarcación regresara por nosotros. Durante ese tiempo, no hubo coordinación ni responsables claros, ya que el personal se limitaba a trasladar la responsabilidad entre sí, sin ofrecer una solución adecuada."

"Been traveling to all inclusive resorts for 20+ years. This may be the best one yet if you like a chill experience. Never have I encountered a more friendly and helpful staff. Food is excellent with many options. Beach is beautiful as are the pools. A food truck serves probably the best tacos I've ever eaten. There are only 109 rooms so if you prefer a larger resort this is not for you. A vacation to remember! Oh...and the rooms are really spacious and beautiful 😍"

"The food at every restaurant including the Cafe was incredible, by far the best food at any all inclusive I've stayed at Staff were super friendly, helpful and accommodating. Pools and beach were great. Only knock was mini bar replenishment, arrived Thursday and had a few beverages out of it and after multiple requests it was finally replenished Saturday."

"Our stay at Excellence was truly amazing. We booked a room with a rooftop pool, and it was absolutely stunning—such a unique and relaxing experience. The staff throughout the resort were incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made our trip even more enjoyable. One area that could use improvement is the sports bar. With only two staff members serving, the service was understandably slow. It would definitely benefit from additional staffing. We also noticed that our rooftop pool had a dark ring around the top, so it could have used a bit more attention in terms of cleaning. It would have been even better if the pool were heated, as we didn’t get to enjoy it as much as we had hoped. The restaurants, however, were fantastic. A special shoutout to Rolando at the Grill—he took great care of us and made our dining experience memorable. Unfortunately, we weren’t able to fully enjoy the beach due to the sargassum, but Antonio was so kind and attentive while we spent time there, which we really appreciated. Overall, the resort is absolutely beautiful, and we had such a great time. We were genuinely sad to leave and would definitely consider coming back."
