"Food was TERRIBLE. Our AC didn’t work and it took them an entire day to get it fixed. Service was not good either. Pools were great though."

"The grounds were absolutely beautiful especially noticeable during our nightly walks. Food for the most part was really good (4.5), although wish there was a better variation for lunch. Drinks were great and not watered down like in most resorts. There was a wonderful variety of things to do which made staying 7 days feel short. Given the price I paid ( not cheap), I would rate my experience a 4.5 but averaging up as half stars aren't accepted and feel a 4 rating would not do this resort justice. Would definitely consider going again. My only beef, unrelated to the resort experience, is that all subsequent ads I've received for Excellence resorts quote prices in USD (instead of CAD) which is always more expensive once I do the conversion than booking through a Cdn site."

"I recently stayed at Xcaret Resort and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. The overall cleanliness was far below expectations. The room was dirty upon arrival, which immediately made the stay uncomfortable. The beach, which is usually the highlight of a resort, was also not well maintained. It was noticeably dirty and not inviting at all. On top of that, the beach chairs were old, worn out, and some were even broken, making it difficult to relax and enjoy the area. Overall, the resort seems poorly maintained, and it did not meet basic standards of cleanliness and comfort. I would not recommend staying here unless significant improvements are made."
