"A non working fridge."

"This place is under massive renovation. Their web site makes no mention of it. The elevator is out. Yep, you read that right. The freight elevator operates with the help of grubby engineering staff. The elevator shakes & bounces as it climbs the floors….the open cages scope the exposed brick & metal of the shaft. It halts only with a huge, hard bounce that makes your teeth rattle. Seriously…open your jaw when it’s about to stop. The guest rooms are like bad dorm rooms from an insane asylum. The walls are blank white FRP panels (google that). There’s no art on the walls. The bathrooms are old tubs & twisted low-hanging showerheads. If you are taller than 5’6” , you will have to stoop like a giraffe in your living room. If you park your car…be ready to be screwed when the “pre-paid” ticket won’t let you out of the garage. You will walk a quarter mile (each way) to rectify the situation. The staff are pleasant—- but incapable of relating to the guest. Happy talk doesn’t clean up terrible service. DO. NOT. STAY. HERE. you have been warned."

"The upside to this location is its convenient location within 5 minutes walking distance of Wrigley Field. The downside to this location is that it is immediately adjacent to all of the rooftop bars that are filled with postgame fans. Let’s just say if sleep is what you’re looking for, this hotel makes that more than challenging - loud music, car engines revving, police sirens, thunderous bass, and screams that could either be joyful or terrifying all make for an experience that demands laser like focus in order to score above 60 on your Garmin watch. The property is remotely maintained so it’s a roll of the dice whether or not there is help at the front desk. Be careful of the elevator. Not only does it move like pond water, but it might just be filled with a cleaning cart and vacuum with no attendant. The rooftop lounge is cozy, but be careful of the warped and uneven boards or you might just end up taking a dive towards N Clark Ave. At least there is a police presence close by to assist if you need help. All in all, a 3 out of 5 stars. Come for the memories and bring ear plugs at a minimum."

"We had high expectations based upon the ungodly amount of money it costs to stay for just one night. Parking was difficult to get into as there were cones blocking it off. No valet service. We had to find someone to allow us into the garage. Check in was at 4pm, perfect for us as we had just ended the game at Wrigley Field. Our room wasn't ready until nearly 6pm. They gave us 4 free drinks from their bar. An hour into our wait they offered us 2 free appetizers, but only after I politely asked since our guests were getting hungry. As a result of this we missed our dinner reservation as we were not able to get into our room and freshen up after the game. The two appetizers held us over as we refused to spend more money in this hotel and was too tired to gonfind food. Once we got to our room it was warm. Thermostat read 65° but never kicked on until we had maintenance come up to check the unit. He instructed us to not touch the panel and he promises the room will cool down fast. They offered us a fan but the room never cooled off. Morning showers were nearly unbearable as the heat and moisture grew thicker and thicker. No windows to crack open. No microwave. No refrigerator. We loved the convenience of walking across the street to the ballpark. However, we will never pay to stay here again."
