“Our room was in the basement which we did not realize until we arrived. The room itself felt a bit dingy with a hodgepodge of furnishings. The air-conditioning was loud and rattling so much so that we had to turn it off in order to sleep. Fortunately, the heat wasn’t too bad so we were able to deal with it. But in peak summer season, it would’ve been unbearable. There was no one identifiable as a staff person so can’t really comment on the helpfulness of the staff since we never saw anyone. The……

“I just wanted to let y'all know the breakfast each morning was delicious! So thank you to your staff for preparing it and keeping it stocked. I did wish that the water with the orange slices in it had more ice through out the day because it was very refreshing but as the day ends it became not so cool and refreshing. I know that is because it is hot in New Orleans and the Ice was melting but maybe putting a scoop or two in at mid-day would help. But I feel t was a great stay. I also want to……

“A quite location just a few blocks away from all the busy! Breakfast was wonderful and staff was so friendly and wanting to help with everything! The room was spacious and modern and very cozy beds! We will be back! Thank you for being wonderful hosts!”

“Everything was great, we loved our stay. Only consideration to share is that the beds are not very comfortable. So, if you have anyone with mobility issues or is very sensitive to super firm mattresses in your party, you may want to look elsewhere. Overall experience was very good though.”

“This is a small and unique property, with a very welcoming staff. It is a "throw back" to the times when hotels were a special place and not a chain commodity. The rooms were large and well appointed. The hotel is close to the Vieux Carre, but far enough away from the madness of Bourbon Street. Our room had the best hotel shower ever - which says a lot about the quality of the property in general. I would not hesitiate to stay there again.”
