“Continental breakfast was simple and good. Parking was right outside the room door, so as close as you could be. The place is a bit rustic, but we had no problems and no concerns. We'd stay here again next time!”

“Great place right in town. Easy to access with parking in front. was with all of the amenities that I really enjoyed: Cool A/C, small fridge as well as the hotel having a couple of common areas both upstairs and downstairs.”

“Dining room closed. Long wait for bar food. Bathroom in room awful. Front of Commode crowded up against tub. Claw foot tub fits decor but felt unsafe standing in it. I expect much more for this high price.”

“We stayed at this wonderful property 2 nights and wish we would have had more time to spend there. The property is on a beautiful setting. You have wonderful views of the mountains and wide open skies. It's located very conveniently to of course Fort Davis with a short drive you can be in Alpine or Marfa. It's also close to the McDonald observatory and not super far from Balmorhea State Park. Will definitely stay here again!!”

“No staff on site and the door was locked leaving us stuck outside. The phone numbers were not answered. What gives?”

“Never saw any office staff - door was unlocked (as our email said) and all was clean and cute place. Coffee maker did not work but coffee shop was across the street.”

“Roomy home with great view. Clean and well equipped. Convenient to McDonald Observatory. Dark sky at the house allowed us to star gaze there also. ”

“The home was sparsley furnished. Could have used some additional comfortable furniture. Also didnt have extra blankets or hair dryer. Kitchen was oddly stocked. ”

“Perfectly, conveniently located, private-feeling house for our family of 3. Well-stocked kitchen was great for making a meal or two a day, which is a good call with the somewhat limited dining options in town on Sundays / Mondays. Beds were comfy with plenty of bedding available. We loved having breakfast on the little patio out back and sitting on the front porch looking at the mountains. We arrived after a very busy weekend and a hard flip for the caretaker, so there was a small issue we……

“Remote location was quiet and private but very close to Ft Davis as well as other area attractions (Mcdonald Observatory, Balmorhea State Park/San Solomon Springs Pool, Ft Davis State Park, Marfa, etc.) The cabin was clean, well-equipped and the bed was super-comfortable. Saw aoudad sheep and many Texas songbirds during our stay. There's hiking available with great views of this spectacular ranch property”
