Tres bon emplacement ...Posted Aug 18, 2014

Good location but beds are a bit too softPosted Apr 28, 2014
Pros: Near to the beach Easy to book last minute
Cons: Bedding stuff
We slept two nights at Heritage Inn, the rooms were clean and you can park without any trouble near the hotel. Located in front of the beach, everything is closeby, by walking distance. The bed could be changed though and even though it is located in a very silent area we did not sleep very well because of the old matresses.

Perfect location right near beach, shops nearbyPosted Oct 29, 2013
Pros: I like sitting outside door and looking at beach and beach ave. owners very approachable and helpful. Loved loulou (beautiful, nice dog) that liked to
Cons: Can't think of anything without raising price!:)
Location: We walked the beach. Took the historic trolley tour. Walked up to the Washington street mall. Breakfast at mad batter and bills pancake. We also went
Owners helpful, friendly and accommodating. Clean.

The location is great, but...Posted Sep 20, 2013
Cons: More maintenance and a turnover of the housekeeping staff
The location is great, and we were pleased with a previous stay - why we booked. However, this year there were spongy areas is the porch floors, and the housekeeping left much to be desired. How can you forget to provide sufficient toilet paper?

good spot for family or a weekend awayPosted Apr 3, 2013
Cons: a bit musty---just opened for season
Location: liked---have been going to cape may more than 25 years. across from the fudge kitch and convention center
worked out well for a family Easter weekend. i think the heritage inn is seasonal and had just opened for the season. would go again.

Basic Hotel still provides nice stay!Posted Jun 20, 2012
Pros: Great location for the price.
Cons: Didn't provide wash clothes or shampoo which would have been ok if we didn't forget our own!
Location: Perfectly located across the street from the beach!
Went down with a friend and it was the perfect price for a short stay. It was across the street from the beach which was fantastic. The staff were really polite and helpful. The room didn't have a lot of bells and whistles but that was ok for what we paid. The room was clean and neat, but we did wish they provided wash clothes as we forgot ours. The porch on the top of the hotel was amazing and its' proximity to all things Cape May will cetainly have us coming back.

Nice little inn in Cape MayPosted May 7, 2012
Pros: The staff is incredibly nice and eager to be helpful.
Location: Right on the beach, <5 minute walk from Washington Mall shops.
My boyfriend and I are in our early twenties, and came down to Cape May just to get away from the city for a few days. We arrived late, much later than the front desk was open, but the owners (a three-generation family) left our key for us and we were able to get to our room just fine. The owner was kind enough to upgrade us to an ocean-view room, which from the 3rd floor was very lovely. While it isn't exactly the lap of luxury and may not have the overwhelming beauty of Cape May's many Victorian B&B's, the Heritage Inn was a wonderful place to stay on a budget. We weren't looking for a 5-star luxurious place to stay, just somewhere comfortable, convenient, and nice overall. The Heritage Inn fit all of those, and we were very satisfied with our stay.

Enjoyable,close to beach.Posted Jul 31, 2011
The Heritage Inn was nice and clean. Close to the beach. Parking was a little weird but you did have a place.I wish the bed was a little more softer. The new convention center is going up across the street, workers start about 7:30 a.m.but we we didn't mind we were going for breakfast and then to the beach.I use ear plugs I'm a light sleeper, but my 2 companions said they didn't notice any noise. I will probably go back there. It's owkay for what we needed it for.

Only reason I recommend this hotel is because of its location. And yes, it was clean.Posted Jul 24, 2011
When 1st thing you hear about motel is "It's clean" you knows its ng. Arrival: See basic (not ,pretty) motel. Stark, no flowers or the like. Check in: I asked about location of room & was told, "Check it out, but it is what it is." Not welcoming. Most staff need customer service training. Room: i notice: 1) Doesn't smell & clean. Good news. 2))Faded chairs, cheezy pictures, small old TV, ugly bedspreads, no phone/alarm clock. Bad news. 3) PAPER bath mat. Rediculously bad news. (Got extra bath towel to replace paper mat.) Other info: The pool is small but ok. Nice rooftop deck. Nothing fancy, but nice view. General maintanience needs some work: peeling paint, small cracks in plastic chairs. Off-street parking. Wi-Fi - but only works outside of room sitting on ugly plastic chair. Ice machine, clothes line, and outside shower spicket ARE the amenities. Location was best part: Across street from beach. Bike rental around corner. Walking distance to mall, shopping, restaurants,Victorian houses. BUT: City convention cener is under construction directly across street. For next year, it will be eye sore & mildly noisy. When finished it will block views. When all was said & done, the place 'grew on us' - but that probably was more a reflection of a good mother-daughter vacation than the motel itself. Next time to the cape: I'll stay elsewhere

Not impressedPosted Sep 22, 2010
The hotel is in a great location - central to everything in Cape May and within easy walking distance. But the room smelled musty and mildewly, even though it appeared clean, and there were no extra amenities whatsoever - no wireless internet access, the TV was old, and it was difficult to get any extra towels or toiletries. The lock on the door did not appear very secure. There was no designated smoking area and other guests smoked right outside my room, which meant that I could not keep the windows open to get rid of the mildew smell. Overall, I would not stay there again and would not recommend it to other travelers.
