Avoid this Hotel

Posted Nov 21, 2014
This "Hotel" is a health risk that should not be allowed to do business. Facilities, condition, and cleanliness are appalling. The lack of standards at this Hotel is something you don't expect to find in North America.

Awful disgusting

This was the worst hotel I've ever seen in my life. It was so bad I didn't stay the night I slept in my car.

Pros: The neighboring sportspub has good food, and the bus to NYC is close by and cost very litte (I think 6.50 each way.)
Cons: Shouldn't cost more than 40-50 dollars for a night. If it was half of current price, I would probably be there much more often.
Needed a place to stay overnight. Had beed there before, and therefore since I was content the last time, chose this one again.

Spend the extra $ and stay somewhere else.

Posted Nov 7, 2014
The area didn't seem to be the greatest, the staff was mediocre and the room was actually a bit scary. I survived so it wasn't that bad I guess but next time I'll spend the extra money and stay somewhere else.

Horribly dirty

Posted Nov 7, 2014
Pros: Nothing.
Cons: Everything can be improved. First off you need to hire cleaning people who actually clean. There must have been at least a months worth of dirt.
Location: Nothing near by for walking distance. Incredibly hard to find via car.
Booking with Days Inn usually guarantees a standard. Well not with this Days Inn. The room was horrible, smelly, and well disgusting. Due to being on an International flight that landed late at night, I did not have the ability to go to another hotel, so I slept in my clothes for fear of what may be in or have been in the bed. This hotel was also incredibly hard to find for my friend who was picking me up. The staff simply told him to keep driving North and this was wrong. Stay away from this place.

Oldest hotel by Newark Airport - tatty but cheap

Posted Nov 6, 2014
The free shuttle bus arrived very quickly when we called Days Inn reception. The bus was old and well used. The driver told us the hotel/motel was the oldest around Newark Airport - built around 1958. This was helpful information. I was expecting the nice modern Days Inns that I had used in the Midwest. The room was tiny filled by the bed. There was something like mold in the shower, and the cupboard door under the sink fell off when we looked for disinfectant to remove the mold. The towel rail also needed fixing. When I inquired about a taxi in the morning at reception I was told they could get one to Manhatten for $120 plus tolls. Fortunately I found out that from the airport you could get one for $45 plus tolls. Best of all we found the bus from the airport cost $16 each or actually half of that for us as senior citizens.
