“If you stay at Hawthorn Terrace be prepared for doors slamming all hours of the night. Especially if you’re stuck on the floor. The staff closets and small breakfast room are there. Very annoying the way they stand out side the rooms talking and as I said slamming doors as they bring carts out. For the price there are way better experiences. I like to stay there because it’s close to my daughter’s house but next time will probably look into a different place. Just not worth the price.”

We parked in the loading zone to check in, and then they pointed us to a condo parking garage nearby which had valet service and in/out. “This property is within view of Wrigley Field. For the price, in the middle of the summer it was reasonably priced. Property is in a quiet neighborhood with plenty of fun, local places to eat. The Addison Red Line stop is a 5 minute walk from the location. Two key observations to share. First, you will not talk to an actual person when you visit. “Half the hotel was under renovation so the service elevator or stairs were the two choices to get to rooms. Due to the renovation they didn’t have the room I requested for the first night. But they made it right and got us into the original toom for our other two nights Train stops just down the street. Lots of nice little restaurants right there in the neighborhood. Staff was very helpful in getting our reservation taken care of”

“The perfect home base for a quick trip to see a Cubs game. You won’t find a friendlier or less expensive place this close to Wrigley and the lake. The close proximity to the Red Line L puts the entire city in reach for those non- baseball outings and site seeing. The North Halsted neighborhood, while maybe not for everyone, is such a vibrant and welcoming place. We will be back!”

“My original stay was for 2 night and 3 days(4th of July weekend). I had such a good time, I decided to extend my trip for 2 more days.
