"My husband and I, and my mother, spent five days in Durango. The Between the Waters home was a perfect fit for us. The river just steps from the back deck made for soothing time to just sit and enjoy, both the river and the cool weather. The home itself had plenty of room for the three of us."

"The cabin has view of the lake through trees from the porch and and dining area window. I loved the sound of lapping water on the shore and heard geese. The cabin had what we needed, and I did not mind washing dishes by hand. The decor was cozy and quaint befitting a cabin. My husband did not like the uneven floor but I was not bothered. The bed was very comfortable, very hot water from tap, and nice aray of cooking utensils. One does need to walk down stone and dirt steps to reach wooden steps...

"Stay was great, but they need to update their listing for towels. We were told to ask for more if needed. So I did and they got back with me and said they would bring some. They never brought more, and there is a sign that says enjoy our beach towels for the hot springs. But, there wasn’t any. I contacted them and they say that they don’t provide them anymore because the sulfur smell never comes out of them! Very minor things. The house was very clean and accommodating in every other way. "This place was a great home base for activities in Pagosa, Durango, and the surrounding areas. The only missing amenity would have been a hot tub, this could really put this place over the top. As others mentioned, noise from floors above is loud, but that is part of staying in a log cabin. We got used to it by the second night and the fandeliers in the rooms help with the noise and comfort."
