“This is a truly unique hotel. It was beautifully, renovated, spacious, super clean, and very convenient for exploring Marshall. The restaurant was good, and it was very relaxing sitting on the deck and listening to the river. The unit was nicely equipped. The only difficulty we had was getting a hold of anyone for questions when we arrived. The phone number in the binder did not answer our call nor reply to text message. I did see a very helpful employee cleaning the next day who answered……

“Everything about the hotel was great. The staff was very friendly. The room was clean, and beds were comfortable. The shower was pretty slick which caused my Mom to fall, so be careful with that. The breakfast was really good. The REALLy big problem was the reservation I had through Expedia was not actually booked, so I had no room when I got there at 11:30 PM. Luckily, they had 1 room left and we were able to book that room for the night.”

“A very secluded, private park-like setting in a quiet residential neighborhood. The old lodge and rooms have been thoughtfully and beautifully restored. I'd stay here every time vs a hotel. The value was superior.”

“It was clean. It was well located within the city even if it is beside the highway. It is incredibly noisy and after being woken up multiple times despite exhaustion, a sound machine, and a second ambient noise machine, I asked to be moved and considered myself lucky to be moved to the other side of the building on a low floor. I really should have just left. There is no elevator, no laundry, no coffee machine in the room. Items were not necessarily cleaned and I found old fruit in a bowl left……

“The hotel was in like-new condition. Very clean. Bill at the desk was super friendly. All good.”

“They were in flood zone when Hellen happened. Unfortunately room had a very strong smell, it bathroom I’ve seen the mold. Bedding and towels were clean but in general it wasn't pleasant feeling because of that strong smell”

“Pictures online did NOT match reality. Dirty room with dust that had been present a very long time. Broken glass pieces on floor. Yellow stained sheets. Shower curtain stunk of marijuana. Daylight exposed through exterior door. Room smelled of mildew. Bugs in the bathroom. Waste of money. Yes it’s a cheap motel but they can afford to actually clean…Also sat at the front desk nearly 10 minutes and called before anyone came to check us in. Would’ve rather slept in our car.”

“Ok room, noisy because it’s right next to the highway but tolerable. Quiet, Small and Clean room. Small bathroom and shower, but to be expected.”
