I’ve been to NYC countless times and always stay in a similar hotel (doubletree, Hilton garden inn, etc) and the elevators are no different than really any other hotel in the city. If you’ve been to NYC before, you know what to expect. It’s a crowded city and yes you may have to wait for almost anything. But I had zero issue with the elevators and I feel like it is truly a non issue, certainly not worth a bad or negative review. The location is excellent with close access to the 4,5 train, the R, W train, and to the 1 train not to mention the Staten Island ferry. Decent food options near by and a Duane Reade on the corner which is a NYC must. The room was nice, clean, everything worked as it should. Most of the time in NYC, you’re only at the room to sleep, shower, and nap.
