“Pet friendly, but I was told to keep my dog off the beach. Clean for the most part, stains were on some sheets and lamp shades. Loved have the patio and very friendly staff.”

“All was fine, lots of towels, last motel we stayed in had only one set, washcloth hand towel and towel, for a 2 person room. No coffee or even plastic cup.”

“Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Beautiful view. Rooms are a little outdated and bathroom faucet sink spout sprayed water out which made it messy.”

“Cement walk way is all cracked up and the pool was under repair/ not open. Person at the counter was very nice.”

“Room was very clean and ideal for a one night stay. Too small for comfortability. The bathroom was very small and the shower too compact for most adults. No chairs or tables for relaxation. Was clean and quaint for a place to lay your head.”

“Clean, minimalist cabin far from the city, exactly what I was after. I didn't get water before it got dark and that was dumb of me, I would suggest finding the water pump during daylight. I would highly recommend and look forward to staying again”

“A great place to stay!”

“Our stay this year was a lot of fun. The cabins were clean and well stocked. Not the best weather but we made the most of it, we had all 6 cabins and the house for our annual weekend. Highly recommend this Resort.”

“Nice quiet place ”

“We booked this property for a girls weekend and loved our stay! Such a cute little cabin that had everything we needed. The only downside is no running water for showers and a porta potty. But if you don’t mind a little rustic stay then this would be a great option!”

“Very good and simple getaway. Didn’t have a/c but made it work. Would book again and fit 6 people comfortably.”

“We did not get a beach view room as we booked for. They said they can’t guarantee a beach view if we booked 3rd party. The reason why I booked was for the view. The room we did get the toilet was clogged and sink would not drain. They said they would fix it and when we got back at the end of the day it was not fixed so they switched our room. We did get a beach view at that time but she said it was not what came through on their end for booking. Breakfast was just ok. It was edible. Need……

“Liked availability for <1wk rental, proximity to main road & host was incredibly responsive. Kids liked the train set. Didn't like that WiFi is advertised but not provided. No cable and the TV/VCR/DVD only worked sometimes. Ceiling water stains in EVERY room. Torn linens and damaged counters/furniture. Something was melted in the dryer so was concerned to use it. No towels provided. Advertises that sleeps 10 but no (glad we didn't need that many beds). The key does NOT work to the second……

“Great small campground, very quiet and secluded. The host helped us quickly when we had a few issues with the camper. The camper is very clean. Don't forget to bring your own linens for the twin beds if you have littles. The campground shower/facilities were great compared to state parks we've stayed at in the past. The camper has very minimal pots/pans/ utensils but we made it work. Overall we loved the area and the days we spent exploring the area!”

“Great place to stay to enjoy the Houghton Lake area! Clean and cozy. Very close to the lake. Hosts were very responsive to our texts. Would definitely stay again if we are in the area!”

“Spent one night wasn’t there long but cabin had everything you would need. Very cute cabin”
