"Overall, we were pleased with the Sheraton Gateway. I stayed there pre Covid and I thought it was exceptional then. The facilities ( ie. the elevators and the carpeting) were a little rundown. Also, when we ordered wine to take up to our room, we were only given plastic cups. For a bottle costing over $60, it seemed a little tacky. "Our room was clean and looked recently renovated. However, it would have been nice to know that the hotel is under renovation and has been for a month or more. The restaurant was closed. The free buffet breakfast was “grab and go” consisting basically of a muffin. No coffee except instant in the room. We were pretty much tied down to our room."

"This ship is 90 years old. It has old world charm and that’s what you’re getting…an entirely different experience. Staff were incredibly nice and accommodating during our trip to celebrate our 30 year anniversary on the ship my grandfather sailed on during his return from WWII. The restaurants and grocery store across the street are a bonus. The airport shuttle runs regularly.
