It is antique and if you are on the lower level you will hear the guests above walking on the wood floor. Try the Well for a cocktail, they never disappoint and the staff are all great. The pool is a welcoming relief after walking all day through the shops and historical sites.”

“Summary: Great location, comfortable bed and room, small bathroom but nice large shower, all spotless, great service and local knowledge. I certainly recommend the Carriage Way Inn. My wife and I stayed at the Carriage Way Inn in the Aquamarine room in July 2026. Lisa greeted us when we arrived around noon (Check-in is 2 p to 5 p) and our room was not yet ready but we were able to park our car and Lisa promised to contact us once it was ready. We went out to explore St. Augustine old town……

“We had a lovely stay at The Kenwood Inn. Pat is a wonderful host, Chef Adam created delicious breakfasts for us and catered to our vegetarian diet, and breakfast was served by Barbara, who is so very sweet. Our room was beautiful, and the bed was like sleeping on a fluffy cloud. We had access to bikes, a pool, a balcony with a lovely view and were within a short walking distance to many restaurants, the bay, shops, and galleries. We will definitely be back!”

“Just great. From the Room to the view to breakfast. Great location and there was a golf cart shuttle downtown but the walk across the bridge is amazing. Great restaurant's, shops, and bars in walking distance on the beach side of bridge.”

“This is a newer hotel and as such, I had no complaints about the condition or cleanliness of the room or the hotel. It was also in a good location within walking distance of downtown. That said, the A/C unit was unexpectedly loud given the newness (it literally sounded like a jet engine when it ran) making it difficult to sleep through the night. The lack of storage space (one drawer for a room with 2 queen beds) was surprising. Also, although the glass sliding door for the bathroom looked……

“This is a hotel that is now really run down. The room smelled stale. The windows are permanently sealed. The shower did not work properly. The plugs are in weird places. The gym is run down and shabby. The elevators are under repair. The service in the bar was slow. The whole place just feels tired and musty. I am lazy and generally do not write reviews but this place needs a wake up call.”
