“The view is great but the experience is the worst I’ve had so far… As a long-time customer of the Hilton group, I am very surprised with the “Urban Destination Charge” that was unilaterally imposed on me during my recent stay at the Motto by Hilton New York City Chelsea in June 2024. I find this charge to be highly problematic for several reasons. First and foremost, there was a complete lack of transparency and consent regarding this mandatory charge. “Pricey hotel and no free water, no free coffee! So expensive !”

“Terrible service, noisy surroundings.** There were car horns and constant mechanical noise all night, making it impossible to sleep. Starting at 9 AM, there was loud, sharp construction noise in the building, and the cleaning staff kept slamming doors, creating even more disturbance. The accommodation conditions were very poor and we couldn’t get any rest. This was by far our worst stay ever. The hotel refused to offer any compensation or adjustment, and didn’t allow us to check out early……

“ Excellent stay in a prime location Stayed at The New York EDITION and had a great experience. The hotel is stylish, calm, and very well maintained. The room was quiet and comfortable, with excellent bedding — perfect for resting after busy days in New York. Location is ideal, close to Fifth Avenue and Madison Square Park, making it easy to get around Manhattan. Staff were professional and helpful throughout the stay. Would definitely stay here again.”
