No traffic on the short road and easy access to the river, Hodenpyl Dam, and lots of National Forest trails. Short jump to Mesick for groceries and gas was very convenient. "My husband, our two dogs, and I got away from the hustle and bustle of Chicago to enjoy our time in the woods. The cabin was perfect for our family and was just the right size. Never felt too crowded. We roasted marshmallows and hot dogs on the fire pit and enjoyed ourselves thoroughly. The cabin was just isolated enough that we let our dogs run around off leash and enjoy. My only complaint is the size of the bed was a bit small and firm. Nancy was great to communicate with and very responsive....

"We absolutely loved the property and cabin. Very relaxing. The only negative part out of our entire weekend was the beds were the most uncomfortable beds I’ve ever slept on. We tried the pullout bed even but it was still hard as a rock just like the upstairs one. We would love to come back but hopefully there will be a different mattress available."

"We brought our 16 year old daughter and a few of her friends for the weekend to celebrate her sweet 16. We had high hopes for better weather, but it's Michigan- so you never know what you're going to get! The place is very clean and Barn is a delight to communicate with. It is a little rustic, but it has a nice cabin charm to it. Nothing to complain about other than the rain!"
