"The breakfast bar is a joke. Breakfast cookies, yogurt and oranges. Plan on going out for breakfast after you eat at the breakfast bar! The street near the hotel is noisy, but didn’t interfere with sleep."

"Nice cute place, great view of ferry terminal and ships, quiet and relaxing place! Will use again when going to San Juan Islands."

"Charming and homey. It did get a little hot at night, even with the Windows open, but I tend to run hot. The Windows did not have screens on them, and this was on the 4th floor. We don't have kids, but if we did then we'd have asked to switch rooms. That's a huge safety concern."

"The Heron is a very well maintained vintage building with the creature comforts and customer service to entice me to want to return for a longer visit. There’s ample parking and we were able to plug in our electric car. The lobby area features an appealing lounge with massive fireplace and seating as well as the breakfast dining area. Breakfast was of a good standard with fruit and eggs made to order . The rooms have a mixture of vintage charm and expansive windows along with a nice bathroom with tub and shower . The bedding was sumptuous and the room very clean and thoughtfully appointed . This review would be I complete if I didn’t mention the staff who were very warm and friendly and helpful , just what a traveller needs. The Heron will undoubtedly be the place I want to stay, the next time I visit the charming town of La Connor with its boutiques and galleries. "
