“The activities group is great and a lot of fun at the main pool. The golden pool has an amazing staff like Miguel. The rooms are clean, all staff is friendly and helpful! Selection of restaurants is great! The elevator in our building #1 didn’t work 98% of the time so walking to the third floor wasn’t fun multiple times a day. ”

I had the all inclusive option which made things very easy especially since there really isn't any other options nearby as far as restaurants so all inclusinve makes sense. “The hotel is nice, but I wouldn’t visit again. The bungalows are dated and the water below is murky and filled with seaweed. We couldn’t use the beach, because of the seaweed. They were working hard to try and remove it, but it didn’t work. The food is delicious, but the menu doesn’t change much, so after 3 days, we were bored with the food options. “We stayed here with two families with 4 kids under 10 for two nights.They had so much for them to do. A pool, bounce houses, a trampoline, electric cars, a campfire, and they even got to play with the resident bunny, ducks, and chickens. The staff was also extremely kind and helpful making the kids food to order throughout the day and always finding things to entertain them. We didn't have our own car, but they happily drove us to local cenotes and even helped pick up a friend who needed a ride……

“They consider themselves as luxury but they are really not. There were mice droppings ALL OVER the outside of the room in the hallways. Mice droppings in the staircase corners. They have an infestation!!! Also everything is made pretty cheap (furniture, decor, etc). The staff was overwhelmed with the occupancy the week we were there. Would not come back. Hector at the pool and beach was great!! And the lady that did the margarita class was awesome!”

“Our Villa was not on the beach but it was spectacular. With a private pool and jacuzzi. It was family-friendly. Many activities for the kids. Bicycles were given to each family member. The beach area is amazing. It has a great restaurant and a nice pool. The restaurants at the hotel and at the other Mayakoba hotels are very good. The best part is the staff. They accommodate and coordinate everything you want. Our personal concierge Madai was GREAT! ”
