“The activities group is great and a lot of fun at the main pool. The golden pool has an amazing staff like Miguel. The rooms are clean, all staff is friendly and helpful! Selection of restaurants is great! The elevator in our building #1 didn’t work 98% of the time so walking to the third floor wasn’t fun multiple times a day. ”

“We had a wonderful short stay at the Belmond Maroma to celebrate our engagement. The staff and their service were top notch. In particular, Emanuel took great care of us. The spa was wonderful for both treatments and some time in the hot/cold plunges, steam and sauna. The restaurants were picturesque right on the beach - we particularly liked breakfast with the fresh juices of the day and daily changed pastries. “Our experience with Generations was the most amazing one I could've ever dreamed of. My kids and I enjoyed mostly the pool, the swim out setting. The food was outstanding, the service so friendly and really impeccable. I was able to practice my Spanish with everybody. We were pampered like we were celebrities! “Really clean facility. Food was mediocre actually. The breakfast buffet is my favorite. Lots of options. But the dinner restaurants are the same old same old for all inclusive resorts. For a 5 star resort I expected the food to be better.”

“The hotel is nice, but I wouldn’t visit again. The bungalows are dated and the water below is murky and filled with seaweed. We couldn’t use the beach, because of the seaweed. They were working hard to try and remove it, but it didn’t work. The food is delicious, but the menu doesn’t change much, so after 3 days, we were bored with the food options. There were ants in our room, so we called the front desk and they sent someone to spray the room. The fumes caused me to itch all over, so that……

“They consider themselves as luxury but they are really not. There were mice droppings ALL OVER the outside of the room in the hallways. Mice droppings in the staircase corners. They have an infestation!!! Also everything is made pretty cheap (furniture, decor, etc). The staff was overwhelmed with the occupancy the week we were there. Would not come back. Hector at the pool and beach was great!! And the lady that did the margarita class was awesome!”

It is an ideal distance from both cities and nestled just outside of Puerto Morelos, which is a hidden gem for people that love good food and a chill vibe. I strongly recommend Sota Human Space. “We stayed here with two families with 4 kids under 10 for two nights.They had so much for them to do. A pool, bounce houses, a trampoline, electric cars, a campfire, and they even got to play with the resident bunny, ducks, and chickens. The staff was also extremely kind and helpful making the kids food to order throughout the day and always finding things to entertain them. We didn't have our own car, but they happily drove us to local cenotes and even helped pick up a friend who needed a ride……

“Very nice room and environment. The beds were very hard, but we loved everything else about the room. Breakfast was good and we could order it in advance so they could prepare it and we didnt have to wait. Very good service overall!”

“From start to finish we were underwhelmed. Ineffective pickup at airport that they use a third party for. Old property that has a sad aesthetic and no vibe happening. Everything is go get in line at this deal, for that another desk— like being on a cruise. Food was fine, drinks were made from cheap concentrate. Told staff how disappointed we were and got no response. Checked out early. No refund. Will not be going back.”
