MOST AWFUL EXPERIENCE EVER...

Posted Nov 6, 2012
Pros: NOTHING, AWFUL
Cons: EVERYTHING, AWFUL
Location: LOCATION WAS FINE, HOTEL WAS AWFUL, SHOULD BE CONDEMNED...
I actually got a refund, this was the most awful hotel I have ever been in, I asked for non smoking and it smelled like nothing but smoke, the pillows were dirty and sheets had not been changed from the previous guest. Totally awful experience....DO NOT RECOMMEND to anyone..

worse experience ever

Posted Aug 24, 2012
Pros: nothing
Cons: crackheads, prostitutes, crime
Location: located on major road convient to restaurants
This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The rooms were filthy,(dirty beds, floors, bathrooms). The sink was stopped up from the get go and good luck on getting towels or any service from housekeepers. The pool was not in service as advertised. But the worst thing was it seemed like it was a haven for crack heads and prostitutes. The police were there and a crime was committed on Monday morning. Don't know what crime and didn't care to find out. Just suffice to say it was a major crime(yellow crime tape and what looked like hasmet suited clean up of blood. I trusted expedia but from now on will probably not use their service again due to this experience.

Pros: Price
Cons: Dogs
Location: Good in center of everything, walking distance to food, gas, entertainment.
I came to town for my book signing, I neede to save money I am a self published author. The price was good. The water was hot. I had clean towels a little on the thin side but clean. The pillow cases where dirty good thing I travel with my own pillows. The sheets looked clean but I also travel with my own bedding. The comode had a leak. The air conditioner worked but vents where dirty. The Tv worked remote was in good shape. The Door to the room was loose fitting as though it had been kicked in in the past. but the locks worked. The grass outside smelled like Dog pee but no poop in site. Brekfast coffee really strong but everything else fresh.

Adequate hotel - good location

Posted Apr 11, 2012
Pros: location - a mile from the Masters golf course
Cons: I was given a smoking room and I'm non-smoking
Location: see above - just off I-20 and Washington Road
One downside is that I was given a smoking room and I didn't want one. However, I didn't argue because it was Masters week and rooms are scarce. Two things that I think could have been improved are that I would like to have coffee in the room and I would like to have a computer in the lobby for guest access. The continental breakfast they provided was better than some, worse than others. (This may have been just for Masters week, I'm not sure.) It included biscuits and gravy and sausage which were very tasty. They had a sign saying the pool was permanently closed and they explained that they were going to close it because of new ADA rules and also because people from other hotels would use it. The big advantage to this hotel is that it is close enough to walk to the Masters (about a mile). This hotel is comparable to other budget hotels in the area. I think my favorite one is the West Bank Inn, but it frequently sells out unless you book it a good while in advance.

Dirty, Nasty, Unfriendly

Posted Apr 22, 2010
When we arrived at the room, we immediately noticed the overall condition was pretty bad. Aging and beatup furniture, peeling wall paper, cigarette burned sheets, stained rug etc. Then we found hairs and scum in the shower/bathtub and the sink. We called the "guest services" about the uncleanliness, a lady begrudgingly agreed to come clean up the mess to our satisfaction. Fifteen minutes later, a knock on the door was followed by a woman literally barging in - saying nothing - with a spray bottle and a cloth, and no uniform or shoes! She went straight to the tub, two squirts and some wipes and was out of there in less than one minute.
