Good for a layover and nothing else

Luckily I spoke Chinese. The staff could not speak English and was reluctant to serve us until they realized we spoke Chinese. The room was spacious, but very cold. It reminded me of a dingy route 66 motel. Good for a one night layer and nothing else.

Clean room, hotel is a 10 minute walk from street

Pros: Clean room for a cheap price.
Location: 10-15 walk from the DaWang Lu station.
Staying at the Piao Home Inn was totally fine. The room was clean, and house keeping did a great job everyday. The hotel is a 5-7 minute walk from the street.

This hotel is good for the price. The room is clean and spacious. The room is cleaned everyday. There are two things that are minus points for this hotel. First, the location is hard to find. We found this hotel by the English direction from one of the previous reviewers so make sure you follow this instruction carefully. Second, the hotel staffs do not speak English. They will try to help you as much as they can. Most of them are nice but few of them are careless, try to avoid your concerns, and have big attitude. If you speak little Chinese, it would help. Overall, it is good for the price. Also make sure you bring a print out of your reservation indicating that you have paid in full otherwise, they will ask you for your credit card to charge you. They are not very familiar with hotel.com so they can't trace your reservation with hotel.com. There is breakfast costed 10yuan in the morning but it is not good.

Location: Off the main street and a way away from anything like shops, restaurants etc.
For the price you can't really expect amazing comfort. It is a great budget option. Only thing would say is that it is a difficult location for taxi's to find and restaurants and things to do are a 15 minute walk away.

The hotel belongs to a chain which operates 10 establishments in Beijing, every hotel seems to have its own characteristics. I would recommend this particular one to any traveler who doesn't mind about the location. During my stay, I noticed that the hotel was clean and the staff quite friendly and helpful, despite the fact that they don't speak English at all. The room was comfortable and very quiet. The location is a problem; no one knows were is the hotel located, even the taxi drivers. The place is very difficult to find and the address, even written in Chinese (Han zi), won't help. If you want to get there, take the subway (line 1) and get out at Dawanglu by exit B, turn right when you get outside and then, turn right again on Da Wang lu, walk staight and cross the river, right after the German village turn right and follow the street, the street will turn left, keep following it and the entry of the compound will be on your right. I reserved my room on the Internet via hotels.com and had a good deal.

Very disappointed

ended up not staying here the staff were not friendly, and did not even show even the slightest effort to understand what you are trying to say. I requested if they could call me a cab and they said no, the place was tucked away so you can't really just step outside and flag one down. So I asked if they have the number for a cab company, and they did, but I had to call them myself. Which wasn't easy since I could not explain to the cab company where the hotel was located. It would've been nice if the hotel staff had done me the favor of booking for the cab, as they could have explained more clearly our location.
