Superb outlook on to seafront

Pros: The location. Superb
Cons: Update room furniture old. A few more smiles from certain receptionist
Location: On front opposite pier. Pavilion, lanes, seaworld.
Receptionist needs to smile now and again. Room very dated but clean. Ok for one or two nights. Has a superb advantage being opposite the pier, the wheel and the sea. Can sit in lounge and see everthing. Food eatable nothing special. Asked for alarm call on two occasions , still waiting.!Need to up your Attention to detail .

Lovely hotel in a fantastic location

I enjoyed a wonderful two night break at this lovely hotel. My room was beautiful, very clean and with a fabulous view of the pier and seafront. The breakfast was delicious and the staff very helpful. I will definitely stay there again.

Double bed was two singles pushed together. People walking in the corridor made the walls and bed shake. Room stank of smoke.

Far to hot !!!!

Staff at desk ignored me when I arrived and were rude. Room was ok but so hot. Air conditioning did not work bath was dirty had to open window as was hot but faced with fire ascape which was so noisy from pipes. No sleep at all

Good location for a night out in brighton

Pros: a decent choice for breakfast with continental and full English. I had a good view of the pier from my room through the scaffolding Spacious room
Cons: Customer service and half decent coffee/ tea in rooms
Location: Close to pier,restaraunts,clubs, sea life centre and 15 mins from train station
I went with my partner for a night out and requested a double bed when booking. I arrived at hotel to be told that we had twin beds that could not even be pushed together. I explained that I had requested a double bed but the receptionist didn't actually care so I was given twin beds that could at least be pushed together. The room was very dusty with faulty dated sockets so that we only had 1 socket which we could use. I didn't mind the dust it was cleanly decorated and fine for just getting my head down after a night out however I did Mind that we had very cheap coffee in our room and only enough for 1 cup which meant we had to go to hotel bar and purchase coffee. I would recommend this to anyone just wanting a place to stay for 1 night especially for hen/stag do's but not for a relaxing stay

Great location but expensive for what it offers

The only positive feedback is that the hotel is in a great location. However the room was very dated, smelled of wet paint, carpets in tatters, bathroom was not cleaned properly, eg shower head was not functioning as well as it should, toilet did not flush properly, spider in the bath tub, etc. I would not be going back anytime soon.

Possibly the worst hotel experience ever!

Cons: EVERYTHING - READ MY COMMENTS!
Location: Brighton will always have plenty of things to do and I think this is why such shabby excuses for hotels still exist in the area!! Daylight robbery.
Upon arriving at the hotel, it became quite apparent that it looked nothing like the picture and there was scaffolding all around the building. Also there was no parking available on site so I waited in the car outside whilst my partner checked us in and the staff gave him details of a car park which was apparently "5 minutes" away, which infact was a good 20 minute walk away through a busy shopping high street with our cases at the cost of £26.00 per night additional to the price we had already paid! The price for one night - excluding breakfast was £146.00 in itself!!!!! When we got to the room, it was dark, dingy with one very narrow window in the corner with a view onto scaffolding and a bus stop, very basic features, none of which worked. So lets start the door had dropped in the bathroom, the sink kept blocking, there was no shelf to put my toiletries on. TV did not work, bedside lamp was broken, light above mirrors in bathroom light didnt work. No space on dressing table to put makeup etc on. They only provide 2 tiny towels. I phoned concierge to complain and the shift manager was unable to deal with anything except provide a tv technician who fixed the tv which worked for about 1/2 hour then went fuzzy again and provided us with an email address. They offered us late check out as compensation and seemed to have no authority whatsever to provide any other "fixes" at that time. Finally the wider decor was non-matching, chipped paint on doors and pretty poor.

Pros: Very clean Freedom to come and go as you please.
Cons: Wifi connection is very poor. Smokers stand on the hotel entrance steps smoking which is very off putting should have allocated space. Toast is cold
Location: Excellent location for shopping and sight seeing.
Very clean hotel Toast for breakfast is always cold and the bread is very thin. As a vegetarian more fruit options would be welcome for breakfast.

I'd rather have camped on the beach...

Pros: Absolutely nothing. Please do not be too tempted by its location - there is absolutely nothing going for it.
Cons: Everything could be improved.
Location: The location is fantastic but please remember your comfort before booking this hotel. We put up with it simply because we were only staying the night.
We booked a double room for a valentine's getaway (for just one night) through Expedia. When we arrived at the hotel, we were told that we had a twin room. Having paid £135 for just ONE night, there was no way we were going to let that happen so eventually protested our way to a "recently furnished room" that was available if we could "put up with the smell of paint." As this appeared to be our only choice, we accepted and made our way to our room. We had a sea-view double. Good right? Being so close to Brighton, we were the envy of the travellers! WRONG! Our room was surrounded by scaffolding and workmen were working on the hotel from 8am-4pm. ( We were not told this by either Expedia or the hotel itself until we arrived into our room ). The room offered very little for a £135-a-night room; tea making facilities, yet, no drinking water and the included breakfast was the least you'd expect and almost completely unappealing to vegetarians. (unless you fancy beans on toast, perhaos) The staff seemed very unapproachable, stern-looking and dismissive. The manageress is the worst manager I have ever come across. Accusing us of lying about our booking by saying that " I have the details of your booking here ", even though I had the details of the booking with me. Very dismissive and did not want to exert any energy arguing with us so fobbed us off with paint room. Very, very disappointed and would rather travel further for a more comfortable stay.
