Lovely nights sleepPosted Sep 5, 2013 on Hotels.com
We were the only guests in the hotel during our one night stay, which helped to make our stay relaxing. The owner gave us helpful tips on getting around and even gave us a lift in her own car, to the sight seeing bus. When we went for breakfast the following morning, breakfast was still set up as if the hotel was full. Some may regard this hotel's decor as slightly dated but it seemed to give it a more homely feel with a personal touch added

Quiet getaway and top notch servicePosted Aug 17, 2013 on Hotels.com
We crashed here for a few nights while recovering from jet lag. The lodge is extremely cozy with a very warm homey feel. The proprietors were extremely helpful and gave us a lot of information on what to do. The downside is that it is a rather long walk from the Hout Bay shops and restaurants so you'll want to bring a car or arrange taxis whenever you go out. Great for a quiet getaway.

Excellent ServicePosted Aug 3, 2013 on Hotels.com
This is a family run hotel that gives first class personal service. The bedrooms are very large looking out onto the beautiful garden. The breakfast every morning was wonderful, it catered for everyone's tastes. The staff want to oblige at every opportunity, we couldn't fault anything, we stayed for nearly two weeks and didn't want to leave.

Beautiful mountain viewsPosted Dec 6, 2012 on Hotels.com
We loved this hotel. The owners and staff were very friendly and helpful and the hotel was tranquil, with lovely gardens and wonderful views of the mountains. Our room was perfect and had a balcony. We stayed three nights and wish it could have been longer.

Bit of a hit and missPosted Mar 5, 2012 on Hotels.com
Just stayed in March when it's nice and hot in Capetown. Pool is very small, infact it's a pond. There is potential to build a bigger pool which would make the place better as it's away from it all. The staff are very friendly which compensate the kinda of run dcown house. We got better value for money at other hotels than this one. There is no ridge inthe room either!Helllooooo It's ok for a stop over I guess

Tarragona Lodge, Cape TownPosted May 2, 2011 on Hotels.com
This is a very peaceful spot in a lovely setting, backing up to the indigenous woodlands. The room opens out onto a lawn with guinea fowl and hadedahs venturing out from the vegetation. It is low key but very well run with friendly, helpful and unobtrusive staff. This is exactly what you want from your lodgings - all too often, gripes and small irritations can take the good out of your trip. I stay in and around Cape Town 3 to 4 times a year. I usually stay in mid-sized 4 star hotels. I must say that in its price range this stay has been the most comfortable and hassle-free of any I can recall. Also, better value. AND the internet access is actually free where in most other places that advertise it as such, you discover on arrival that you have to pay extra. Well done Tarragona!
