so peacefulPosted May 20, 2012
Pros: quaint, peaceful, staff, clean
Cons: ocean swimming
Location: located at the western tip near airport. the island is only 12 miles so its easy to get everywhere.
great place if your a scuba diver. dive co. right on premises. spa is nice. massage was very good. food was very good. bar menu was large. jerk chicken wings were great. buffet breakfast was good. omelets and eggs made fresh. pool was nice but small and only 2 small areas for shade. we were the only people by the pool, so it was not a problem for us. beach was nice with hammocks but the swimming was difficult with the coral and rocks. we rented a car and toured the island. easy to get around and we enjoyed the caves and sights and people. the car was delivered to the hotel and we just had to leave the key at front desk. very easy.room was nice. 1st floor. the back door opened to the ocean and pool and bar. very safe. very quiet. peaceful. at night the bar gets a little busy with everyone talking about what they saw diving. they have trivia, barbeques, movies, etc.overall, a great place on a tiny island.

Beach front roomsPosted Apr 11, 2012
Pros: beach front
Cons: beach not suitable for swimming
Location: great location near the beach
Nicely furbished rooms which are all located near the beach. All rooms are close to the pool and restaurant. Ample hammocks overlooking the sea/beach. Plenty of shade under the grape trees which also came with seats or hammocks. Our room opened up to a sandy area which the kids loved. Tennis court is nearby and we took advantage of the free push bikes. It would have been nice if there were a couple of kids bikes but there was one tandem bike which we used. Restaurant had a good variety of options and the prices were quite reasonable.

Great holiday for two BritsPosted Feb 17, 2012
Nothing was too much trouble for this establishment. How pleasing it was that all of the staff would pass the time of day with you, and always with a smile. Good menu selection for lunch and generous portions too. Dive facilities excellent - full valet service meant that you never had to carry anything to the boat or on the boat - you sat on the rear step and your gear was fitted on to you, and after the dive it was taken off you as soon as you got out of the water. Boats not jammed with clients, unlike other places and facilities, the resort preferring to use an extra boat rather than mar the experience. Will definitely return and would certainly recommend to divers in particular.

extremely helpful and friendly. i can think of nothing negative to say , only positive things to say. we had never been diving before, they have a dive shop on site. that was a great experience. snorkeling was great, you almost need to rent a car to visit all the spots to snorkel. 40 dollars for the car

IT'S LIKE COMING HOMEPosted Mar 15, 2011
I just love Cayman Brac. It's friendly people and beautiful weather make it a win win. I have been to Cayman Brac several times and stayed at Brac Reef most of those times. The resort is friendly, but professional. The staff from the manager to the cleaning crew, went out of their way to make my stay wonderful. I ate off the bar menu and was well satisfied. LOTS of food. so you don't have to do all-inclusive to eat well. I don't dive, and there's not much to do on the Brac, but relaxation is what I come for. The beach is small, but nice, and most days I had the pool all to myself. Get a massage while you are there! Top notch massage therapists'. There's nightly entertainment from Trivia night to a three piece band. Only complaint-Karaoke is ok but found it too loud from my room and it went too late.

Brac Reef Resort. November 2010.Posted Dec 15, 2010
At first blush the resort might not seem like much from the outside. Has a sort of Florida motel (a nice motel) look to it, but don't let that fool you. The rooms are great and the staff and service top notch. The biggest surprise was the food. Being cheap I figured I'd get a better deal on my own so opted out of the meal plan, but eventually ended up eating all of my meals at the hotel anyway. If I have to stay here again I would definitely go with the meal plan. Not that there are many other options available anyway (more on that shortly), but that's not the point. Simply put. The food at the BRBR is that good. The other thing that the BRBR has going for it is that they have bicycles available for the taking included in the price of the room. Its a great way of exploring the island. The island is relatively small and while you probably won't be able to cover all of it on a bike its a good option to have. Just don't do it the way I did. If you see signs that say restaurants with an arrow pointing that a way, don't believe them. I am sure eventually there will be some restaurants that a way, but I gave up after a few miles. And remember to bring along some fluids because once you've gone that a way you still have to pedal back.

A Great Place to StayPosted Nov 15, 2010 on Hotels.com
The rooms are great, the location amazing and the staff was wonderful. I went as a non-diver and had a great time. The front desk provided for anything we needed, from maps to banks to equipment for exploring.
