Perfect for what I needed

Posted May 4, 2014
Pros: Breakfast. Warm welcome.
Location: Collection of vintage aircraft at the airport (separate to the air museum - follow signs to the DC6 diner, open Saturdays and bank holidays)
I don't normally write reviews for hotels, but the oak is worth a commendation. It was perfect for what I needed, very comfortable, and clean room. Could do with better sound proofing between rooms, but if was not serious! Breakfast was stunning, and I shall bed rebooking for when I need to be back at Coventry airport! Thanks to the staff

A pleasant place to stay, convenient to get to. Breakfast was very nice. Room was a good size, had all usual facilities expected. The accommodation is separate from the pub so no issues with noise. Large car park v.close to the accommodation was also handy. we did not eat dinner in pub, but it looked good value and as breakfast was so nice, would expect dinner to also be good. They consider needs of those staying. Their boiler for hot water broke down the night before and could not be fixed before our stay. They phoned in advance explaining the issue and offered us to cancel, stay with a discount or they would try and find us alternative accommodation. As we were only staying one night we decided to stay and am glad we did.

Excellent value. Room was very comfortable but ceiling needed a paint job but this did not impact negatively on the quality of our stay. We had a wonderful breakfast too.

The Oak Inn at Baginton near Coventry

Posted Jul 24, 2010 on Hotels.com
Very good value for money. Excellent breakfast. The bedrooms are in a seperate block built on the back of the Inn. Baginton is a small village, just a couple of miles from Coventry and the A45 and A46. The Oak is next to a small airport but I had no noise problems. Some of the bedrooms overlook an outside smoking area where people can sit and talk up to midnight at the weekends. Can be disturbing if you want the windows open.

The breakfast was wonderful. The rooms were very clean and comfortable.Very reasonably priced. The bar could do with a revamp as especially the carpet was passed its best, but overall well worth the money

Nice place to stay, clean and quite, good food, friendly service. Only one thing, the bed was a bit small and saged in the middle.
