Don't assume you'll see the Idaho Falls

Pros: Breakfast.
Cons: A room NOT on the falls, as specified through Expedia
Location: A room on the east side of the hotel is probably more picturesque than where my room was, facing west
The hotel, being of an uncommon cylindrical shape, stands out, so it is not hard to find once you exit the freeway. The rooms are spacious too, as each is like a pie piece, radiating out from the doorway to the balcony. I question if it is worth the price charged for it, only because the furnishings were ordinary, no free newspaper was provided, and the soap felt more like a cake of wax. Still, the breakfast was better-than-average. My only complaint deals with booking on Expedia.com, since I specifically hit the reserve button for a room OVERLOOKING the falls, which may have gone a long way to justify the price. Instead, I was given a room on the other side, and the only way I could see the fall is if I stood out on the balcony and craned my neck...which will not happen from the sixth floor, as I have a fear of heights when unconfined. No, I had a view of a canal and chain stores. Expedia tells you that there is no need for you to call and confirm with the hotel, but after this experience, I definitely will, regardless of Expedia's instruction. Got to keep them to their word.

Lovely View..lacking amenities....
Posted Jan 5, 2013
Pros: The View from our room...
Cons: Poor amenities and linens.
Location: Very nice right on the beautiful greenbelt a lovely walk and view of the falls. Restaurants close by.
Rooms very spacious, but dated...need redo. Sofa and club chair/w ottoman, no table and chairs, no place to set things. Coffee maker, mic and Fridge..but no light over them cannot see what you are doing. Very poor quality linnens and towels, sheets very wrinkled and messy looking, not an iviting bed,but clean, mattress quality just ok. Terrible pillows, hard and worn out Old box TV, Very large balcony with lovely view of falls and park/green belt accross the street, with cute animal benches and the Morman Tabernacle BUT..NO CHAIRS TO SIT AND ENJOY THE VIEW...What is the point! Ice and vending machines are on ODD # floors only. They do have a nice selection of microwavalbe foods, but no utensils to eat with and no napkins. Machines do take credit cards, which is handy. Bar and restaurant very run down, but looks like they are staring some renovations. happy hour drinks $2.75, plus 20% discount on food if you show your room key, Food not great, but filled us up. There is a Chilis and some other restaurants a short walk.

Lovely area and the stay was very comfortable. It was very easy to get to and from this Hotel as well as the area. The view was lovely and because we had a room looking over the Falls,it made our stay even that more enjoyable.

Average stay

Pros: Large room
Cons: Location of room
Location: Separate to main hotel block
Stayed here for one night, staff were friendly but we were put in a room separate to the main hotel. It was much less glamourous than those shown on their website.

Pros: Checkout
Cons: Lack of cleanliness. Uncomfortable beds and pillows. Sucky tv. Poor breakfast selection.
Location: Beautiful location but make sure you get a room overlooking the river. Definitely make sure they don't try to stick you in that "other" building.
Made reservation online. Judging by the pictures, I thought we were getting a decent room with a view. They gave us room 151. Didn't tell us where it was located. After walking around the hotel for a minute an not finding 151 on the first floor I asked them where it was. They directed me outside the Hotel to a building behind the next door restaurant. I'm starting to get a little upset at this point. We go to our room and as soon as we walk in are greeted by a foul smelling nasty looking room with a view of a mustard colored wall. At this point I'm pi***d, ask them what the deal is and explain our disappointment. They say we can have one of those rooms that they show on their website for $10-$20 more per night. Obviously we went for a better room. Anything is better at this point. Got up to our 7th floor room. It was ok. Seemed fairly clean. Pillows and mattress were terrible. TV was flat screen but some no name brand so picture quality was just so-so. Staff was pretty good to work with though. I won't be back. I did have a really good stay at the Best Western down the road closer to the highway on a previous trip however. Those rooms were clean, updated and spacious.
