Good location

Posted Oct 1, 2014
Pros: Location
Cons: Complete refurb of the hotel is needed
Location: Near the tramway and seafront on the North Shore. Not much to do in the immediate vicinity but plenty within a short tram ride. 3 day tram ticket best
Generally, the hotel was ok. Rates were reasonable. Breakfast was good but room comfort was disappointing. Bed in particular was not to my liking and not very comfortable. General feel of the place was that it was tired. The couple who run it are nice, they were friendly and helpful.

good overnight stop

Posted Jun 10, 2013
Location: Great location away from the hubbub.
This one night stop was good value for money. It was in a quiet part of a noisy town. Facilities in the room included fruit teas which was unusual. Breakfast was also different to the usual as there was a choice of fruit salad and proper saute potatoes rather than those tasteless hash browns you get in most places. The breakfast menu was generally much broader for people staying longer. Would recommend this place.

Good clean Hotel

Posted Sep 10, 2012
Hotel easy to find with secure parking at rear, room very comfortable and clean , shower good, clean and hot. Breakfast very good from full english to what ever you want. Only down side was not the Hotel but the cost of parking in town, The council have got this very wrong, if they want more visitors drop the price!. Ray
